How do you gain both weight and muscle and be in shape healthily?

so I'm looking to gain weight but stay fit , I'm 150 pounds and always been told I'm too skinny but I would love to get fit in shape and also get some muscle without getting bulk what's the best way to go about this?

working out and eating healthy? strength training and protein shakes with vitamins on side?

i want to gain the healthy way and still stay in shape and maintain it you know what I mean ?
