I agree with your friends to be honest. I think it is all in your head. I do not mean that in a mean way tho :) I mean obviously occasionally you may get someone that will give you a dirty look but all it shows is that person is not worth your time or effort. In general though I would think most people would feel supportive of you going to the gym. If I saw a plus size woman at the gym I would not think bad things about her at all. I would just think she is obviously doing something about it and I would think good on her. I would have a supportive mind towards it. :)
Mot people dmire you for being in exercise classes so you will lose some of the weight. No one is going to resent your being there. And it would be rare that you were the only plus size there!
So relax and do what you need to do to lose the weight. Most people will encourage you and be happy if you start getting slimmer.
Just think, 6 months from now you'll be the girl another girl is concerned about being judged by.
I work at a fitness club and I take pilates classes and let me tell you, WE DO NOT CARE. In classes you can't really afford to care about others. You worry about pushing yourself essentially.
You'll feel much more confident in a month from now. Imagine how invisible (in class) you'll be 3 months from now
It's in your head. I promise
thank you :)
I would think she's trying to be healthy. Where else are you suppose to go to get a jumpstart on fitness? Hold your head up, get in there and kick some ass!
Thank you !

I'd admire her if she's in all those classes and working her ass off (like I think you do!).
But to be honest, most of the time the heavy women are in the way slowing everyone down, not making the slightest effort of even breaking a sweat.
So no, I'm not thrilled when I first see a plus size person in a fitness class, but I have nothing but respect if they prove to be there to change!
Thank you for your honesty. I do try very hard in class and try not to slow anyone down.
It's all in your head. Believe me, people don't really pay as much attention to that kinda thing as you think. And those people do actually think negative things are losers anyway...I pity them.
Seriously just keep going and kick ass. Keep your head up.
It's in your head. I admire people who try to TRULY improve their physical health regardless of their physique. So many people just go through the motions, but are not really trying. Those are the people who sort of annoy me.
No. Definitely in your head. I respect people who go to the gym and at least make the effort to get/stay in shape much more than those who don't. I'm sure most people feel the same way about it.
I think it's in your head. Just keep at it.
