With all the men in the world who are worshipped for their fit bodies, one wonders why you receive hatred for the very thing others are praised for... perhaps the perception is an incomplete picture? Maybe its your attitude or your personality they dont like?
I'm a "fat girl", I'm medically obese but probably just fat to most people. I can't say I really care too much about anyones workout regimen for that to be the reason I'd hate them lol And I can't see why I would hate someone just because of that. I've had plenty of friends who workout a lot. I dont know any other fat women who hate men who workout. At all. haha
They probably dont like you for other reasons. Hopefully your intelligence lends itself to thorough introspection as you wade through the poor logic of "they hate me because I'm fit." Or maybe you live in some odd place where they do hate you for that reason. Seems quite unlikely though, I have to say.
I think "hate" is an exaggeration. They may not like you, but I doubt they care enough about you to hate you. Just for your body? lol Come on, this can't really make sense to you.

It can definitely be hard to feel attractive when the messages put out there is that skinny is the only acceptable body type.
While I fully support healthy lifestyles and such, I strive to be healthier myself, it is hard sometimes. Not everyone will be able to achieve perfection, some people just aren't genetically cut out to have a rockin body. Maybe a healthy body, but not a rockin body.
Either way, it's not right to simply knock someone's lifestyle choices because they are different. Everyone is fighting their own battles and have their own passions in life. Everyone I know who is into fitness has a passion for it. A healthy lifestyle is what they enjoy.
So to each their own.

if they do in fact do that it's probably a defense mechanism because they do have some insecurity over their weight

me and my boyfriend are about the same size in tallness and weight. and i HATE this. i feel like if i gain 10 pounds i'd be bigger than he is, and i don't think thats right, id like to believe differently. i think its just been ground into popular belief that men are supposed to be the bigger half and women are supposed to be smaller.

Hmm it can go both ways. People that work out can be very nice or douche bags. People that don't work out can be very nice or douche bags.
I'm pretty sure if they hated you it was not because you were in good shape.
