Getting the physique you want is going to be about 70% what you eat (your diet), and 30% will be how you exercise. you HAVE to be doing both things in order to get the results your looking for. It may seem tough at first but the bottom line is that your going to have to eat the right foods, not just less of the crummy ones. Two excellent places to find healthy diet recipes are WEIGHT WATCHERS and a book called "Body for life" by BILL PHILLIPS.
The six small meals aday approach is really the only one that truly works in my mind. it is used in every major exercise plan including the ever so popular p90x and body for life programs.
if your healthy enough to run I also highly suggest doing that. its the most effective fat shredder cardio exercise that exists and its the simplest to perform. Try running daily and you will surely be reaping the benefits soon enough. Stay away from the obvious bad foods like french fries, ice cream, chips, ect... also, try not to "reward" yourself by eating junk food or cheat food. Your reward should be your increased health and improved physique. Too many people "reward" themselves too often and severely slow down their results, and in some cases even back track.
In the end you must realize that your going to have to clench your fist every once in a while and eat some food that you may not be dying to ingest. after a week or so of eating clean food you will begin to become acustom to its nutrient dense taste and yes, dare I say you will even crave healthy food.
Eat right. Train hard. You will need a tremendous amount of self-discipline and accountability but if you truly want to shed the pounds and improve your health then it should be an easy descision to make.
