I have made this before, and it's excellent. It's so convenient to let it cook all day while you go about your business as well. The recipe says to stir it once but I've never done that until the end when I'm ready to serve it (I guess because the potatoes and beans settle. It's not a big deal).
I like to use a blade roast (beef chuck) for this one, and 2 lbs is a lot. You can get the butcher to cut you 2 lbs, or you can just do it yourself if you have a food scale. Blade roast is super cheap as well.

Pinterest has plenty of recipes. You can also go to the Williams-Sonoma recipe website where they have plenty of stews and soups which you can make in a crockpot.
Any cooking website, the food network, chefs.com., etc. has plenty of crockpot recipes.
Crockpots are pretty in vogue now since you can make a lot of different recipes using inexpensive meat cuts and veggies really cheap.All I can say is, nothing explosive in those crock pots since the 1 year anniversary is fast approaching. #Bostonstrong.
