Bigger women are always giving me dirty looks because I'm skinny!

Question

I am in no way conceited or narcissistic, but all my life I have been naturally skinny and countless times bigger women have given me dirty looks or have been rude to me because of it. I know its because I'm skinny by the way they look at my body or sometimes even say something about it.
The only thing I can come up with is that they feel so crappy about themselves they try to make me feel bad to make them make themselves feel better. Again, in no way am I trying to sound bitchy, but it does annoy me since I treat everyone respectfully regardless of body type.  I think ALL body types  are beautiful, including bigger women.

I understand completely. It's very annoying and to be honest, we can't say what's it's like to be in their shoes. Heck, today there seems to be no end. If you're skinny, they give you hell. If you're thicker, they give you hell. Being bigger doesn't make you a 'real woman'. A real woman doesn't bring other girls down because of her own insecurities. I see small girls give big girls looks and vice versa. Hey, you're doing something right if they're so upset. Keep doing you, darling.

Oh I feel like skinny hate is in these days, my friends go on and on about how they like *insert celebrity name* because she's 'Not skinny', 'She's a real woman', etc. I just sit there and watch them, got nothing to say when they start that nonsense.
Personally i've never noted a lager lady giving me evils for being thin, if anything it's the way I look or the way I dress.

Are you sure that's not just in your head? You may just be percieving it that way. Even if they look it may not be dirty looks it may be a positive thing.
They're not really doing anything and you can't do anything about it, so what's the question here? Just get over it

I've been on both ends.. I used to be the chinky girl and I got a lot of harassment for it.. Now i lost it all and I get told I look gross, emaciated, I need to gain weight, etc. And I'm not even underweight.
People, especially girls, just love to hate.

Yes. You are absolutely correct. Women CAN be super vicious and competitive with one another. That's exactly what's going on here. They're jealous and envious of you.

The funny thing is that society now is becoming more accepting of fat people but fat chicks are turning it around and hating on the slim/healthy girls like you. Talk about irony.

You sound self absorbed, egotistical, narcissistic and concerned with how other people perceive you. Personally, some of these looks may just be what you perceive but not reality. I would not worry about what other big girls think of me and move on.

I've had this kind of thing happen too. I've had a lot of people make comments about being skinny in a negative way. Fortunately I don't care what people think. If I were you I would adopt that same opinion and let them wallow in their fatness.

They could be jealous. Sometimes I feel a little irritated that some girls are naturally skinny and can eat anything they want, and girls like me are bigger, regardless of the dieting and exercise we do.  But I would never treat a skinny girl badly for it. It's simply jealousy. I wouldn't let it get to you. Just kill them with kindness. :)

Wow that's horrible. Sucks that you have to put up with that.
The big girls where I'm from are pretty secure about themselves here and totally not jealous of thinner girls so I don't see much of that myself but I hear of it a lot online. There's so many chubby chasers out here and many overweight women are considered more desirable than thin or fit girls, so I can no longer give them a pass for fit/thin shaming.

I don't know but it happens to my girl all the time. We have been trying to figure the same thing out for years. I've seen her walk into a store and women give her a death glare. I think it's jealousy on their part.

i got the opposite problem. bigger women go after me. i remember i was on a cruise once and at one point these 200 plus pound women started to follow me around. it freaked me out
