What kind of vacation do you enjoy more? A local vacation or a travel vacation?

I really enjoy both I like the local vacation because there's not a lot of time wasted on travel but it's limited to whatever is local. Travelling is fun after all the travel stress and it can get expensive but there's different experiences lol

I live in California so there are a lot of different vacation ideas in the state that can be driven to - coasts, mountains, deserts, cities, resorts and get aways with fun things to see and do along the way.

My wife and I just got back from a 3 day 800 mile round trip vacation to the coastal redwoods in northern Ca.

I've even been on driving vacations to other parts of the U. S.
Driving vacations are fun.

I've flown lots of places in Mexico, Europe, and in the U. S. from the east coast to Hawaii. It used to be super fun and easy. But after 911 and then covid, it became more time consuming and more and more of a hassle.

I've only been on maybe a half a dozen flying trips since 911. And I haven't flown at all in the last 4 years.

I like to go fishing and I love to be alone in the bush.. I’m Canadian so I explore some really wild country.. a few places I have been to I was the first to see

What kind of wildlife have you encountered in the bush? Do you feel safe being alone if you're in bear country?

@TadCurious of course I feel safe I follow safe food handling and I pack bear spray.. in Canada we don’t pack artillery into the bush like americans

There is no better place then the great Canadian wilderness. I love the outdoors here and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Here we carry cameras to shoot the wildlife.

I couldn't decide as both are enjoyable. I love to travel and explore new sights but also love to just go plant myself and a campsite and go on hikes with my dogs. They love that more as when I travel they go to the kennel and it's not a lot if fun for them without me there.
