Halloween is a fun holiday where you trick or treat, pass out candy, and other Halloween activities such as watching a movie, carving pumpkins, maybe cooking a Halloween themed dish, etc.

Trick or Treating dos and donts for trick or treaters (plan on posting one for the people passing out candy)

Rules for Trick Or Treaters.

1. Please do not knock on doors that have their lights turned off. This means that that they aren't passing out candy at that time and not to disturb them. Please, if my light is off either I am not home, not passing out candy that year, have ran out of candy, is too late at night, etc. Bottom line is... Please don't bother people who don't have their lights on.

2. Call it a night after 8-9 at night. Please, have common sense. Especially if Halloween falls on a weeknight (as it does this year) people go to bed between 8-10 at night. Call it a night at 8-9 at night. Get a good head start. Start at 5 and I know that you want to hit all the neighborhoods. But even if someone's light is on past 9 at night they could have gone to bed. There is plenty of time to trick or treat. There is not need to go around waking up the neighborhood being loud, smashing pumpkins, knocking on doors, and ringing doorbells at 10, 11, even past midnight when Halloween is over anyways. Even if I forget to turn my light off. You will not be getting any candy after 9 o clock.

3. Keep out of traffic. People still need to drive on the roads. You also do not want to get hit by a car. Please stay out of traffic. That sounds like common sense but sometimes driving on Halloween is a nightmare

4. Check your candy. Unfortunately, sometimes things happen. Sometimes there is bad people out there willing to do harm. If you notice that candy seems to be tampered with, is not individually wrapped, or could be something else, or in any way you have a bad feeling about it. Throw it out. Better safe then sorry. I know that sometimes things are overhyped but there are some bad people out there.

5. Please don't be ungrateful. Beggars can't be choosers you know how the saying goes. You are being given free shit. What you don't like you can throw away and I am sure that you will get plenty of candy on Halloween folks. Remember people don't have to give out anything at all. So even if you get one piece of candy or are given something other then candy or candy that you don't like. Please make sure to say thank you and move onto the next house.

7. There is never a such thing as too old. Enjoy the holiday especially if you're young under 18 and even if you're over 18 just wear a mask or something. Enjoy the holiday while you still can. Have fun.
