1. Remember that it is your discretion on what you do and don't give out. You don't have to give anything out if you don't want to. If you want to be the house that gives full sized candy bars or only one little piece of candy it is your choice
2. Remember older children, teens, or even a adult they are trying to enjoy the holiday while they can. It's not that deep it's a fun holiday for everyone to enjoy so indulge them for just one night. Remember, they are choosing trick-or-treating over partying
3. Remember that kids in poorly made costumes or no costumes might not have a lot of money. Please don't be stingy or judgmental just give them candy.
4. Don't be too scary
remember that you're dealing with small children, and they can easily be frightened.
5. Watch for stragglers.
If you run out of candy or are done handing out candy then turn the light out. But also remember sometimes there are some late comers past 9 or 10. But when you're done make sure to turn off the light so you don't have someone at your door waking you up ..
