How do you celebrate Thanksgiving? What are your traditions?

Here are four vital facts behind the real story of Thanksgiving:
Although there are records of a celebration taking place, there is no evidence to support that the Wampanoag tribe was present or invited to the feast. An account said 90 members of the Wampanoag tribe were present and makes no mention of invitations. Some historians believe that these 90 men were an army sent by Wampanoag leader Ousamequin at the sound of gunshots, which was a part of the celebration. To be clear, interactions between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag people were anything but friendly, and the Pilgrims were the aggressors. During their first encounter with the Wampanoag people, the Pilgrims stole from the tribe’s winter provisions. Although later, Ousamequin formed an alliance between the groups, the alliance was only established after the Wampanoag people were ravaged by diseases brought by European colonizers during previous years. This decision was more so a measured attempt at survival than it was to ensure intercultural harmony. Conflict continued after the first harvest when deadly conflicts between white colonizers and Native people erupted. After becoming allies, the Europeans went back on their promise and proceeded to seize Native land and imprison, enslave, and execute Native people. Thanksgiving celebrations that took place among European settlers often followed brutal victories over Native people, like the Pequot Massacre of 1636 and the beheading of the Wampanoag leader, Metacom, in 1676.
... maybe I should celebrate the truth of the KJV Bible that allows me see the truth about one of the most EVIL Holidays ever created by man which is Thanksgiving in the Usa.
When I feel like it I watch some How I Met Your mother particular episodes but that is about it.
I respect and appreciate Germans a whole lot!
How much I respect germans?
Listened to one german music band in particular for about 22 or 23 years maybe.

Get what family we have that's near, eat, talk, then disappear to go rip some ass in private... and then have left overs the following night because there's nothing else to eat.
Just the usual… Dinner w/ the family Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce mashed potatoes, carrots, etc… with pumpkin pie for desert.

We get together for the parade and mostly sit around and do our thing. Sometimes, each will help out in kitchen, do puzzles 🧩, and/or scrabble board games. Sometimes from first moment through the next day leftovers we will complete a Holiday puzzle and pictures to share and keep. Nothing Fancy or overly technical 🦃
With food and family, after work in going over to my mother's
Eating a lot with family
I've learned a lot these past few decades, You don’t have to attend any get together where you don’t feel welcomed, or safe, for any reason. Only you get to take care of yourself. I’m surprised western world doesn’t understand traditions outside of America and Europe with different social norms too.
I try to make my own traditions with my little boy, we are still learning about new holidays to celebrate. This year has been very hard on him. He very lonely.
when i lived with family when i was younger our family would get together and have meals together and spend time with each other. Then after Thanksgiving day we all parted ways and resumed our lives. Nowadays i just wish my friends a happy holiday, get together if it works out, then carry on with my life after
I have a large mostly German Irish family with every other aunt and uncles have a German than Irish name. We do have Indian Egyptian etc. but The German names were not allowed in my Irish great grandparents house and The Irish not allowed in the German great grandparents home. Even though they mostly immigrated before or during WW1.
But Thanksgiving was and still is when all are welcome regardless. I could walk in with anyone and they would instantly be a part of the family.
we do not celebrate it much... or at all, it just didn't catch on as a tradition, of which we have many already
Watching NFL on TV like the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. My brother and his two sons and two little girls came over today. Had turkey, ham, mash potatoes, green beans, pie and biscuits and pasta salad.
I'm going to my brother's place tomorrow, and eating like a hog.
I'm making a Whole Chicken, stuffing made from the box, Cranberry sauce, there is always desserts.
we all get in a circle and we hold hands. and we call this ring around the rosie- i mean turkey. and we throw rocks at someone from turkey because we think they're arab and joe biden hates arabs
Just because it’s in the Middle East, doesn’t make it part of the Arabian peninsula. Hating Arabs is a very racist thing, Rafīq.
@HippieVeganJewslim i agree
It’s just nice to see the family. Maybe drink a little wine and have some good food and hopefully share some laughs.
No we won't celebrate the oppression of native Americans, in Sweden.
Mit der Familie, essen wir Abendessen. Nicht groß.
We Koreans eat half moon rice cake with sweet black bean in it. We also play games with family. We throw a stick and have map to go.
I have never celebrated it. I don't see much point in a holiday where you just eat a lot.
Eating huge meals with family
We dont celebrate it here
Pull ups in the park and bourbon whiskey
I don’t celebrate really any holiday.
