Well first off, you put #5 twice. Second, men get little female attention? Lol maybe you. But if you are good looking and have an aesthetic physique, you get a lot of female attention. And if you are married and the woman doesn't want sex anymore, that is because she does not find you attractive and you cannot satisfy her in bed. If you have a six pack and you make her cum very often, simply getting married will not change that (unless you really let go of yourself).
Yup, I agree. There are certain benefits for couples with children, to help with inheritance and parental rights, but not much reason for childless couples to get married.
A more accurate title would be, "Why Not to Get Married After Just a Couple of Dates."

While I don't necessarily agree with all of the reasons, since I began studying law I have grown somewhat leery of marriage. No-fault divorce has created a bad deal for whichever partner has and/or earns more. And if you saw how frequently premarital agreements get set aside in whole or in part you would be shocked.
Marriage = men lose everything women gain everything.
You pissed off a lot of girls with this take, which is in itself a sign that you hit some kind of mark. Bitterness can be a powerful opiate, but it can also be our greatest teacher. So just because someone is bitter doesn't mean they aren't right. Are Jews bitter about the Holocaust? Sure, but for good reason, and, ultimately, this bitterness has taught them a great deal.

Amen brother. In the past marriage benefited men, women and children pretty equally. Today it is only for the benefit of women and children. Over the last 5 decades or so the benefits of marriage to men have steadily disappeared while the risks and costs have increased at the same rate, to the point where today marriage is a very bad choice for most men.
This is funny and interesting. Well I guess it boils down to many women not rewarding guys who give them what they say they want - good guy who is caring and polite and sweet.

I mean, apparently the only thing bad in divorce is the split of assets between the divorcees, right? Doesn't the right marriage contract solve that?
And I already thought of point 6, a huge party just seems like a waste of money, that much I agree, hopefully my future wife doesn't care about fancy parties.

Anyway, there is some truth in this. It's what makes me struggle with the concept of marriage. I don't want to feel tied down forever. But there's also a lot you're not saying or are leaving out; a few girls out there are worth it, maybe.
Well you really can't win either way on one hand nobody wants to be alone you should get married but then you will probably end up stuck with kids who will destroy your hopes and dreams and put a huge dent in your bank account and for me I would rather just try and enjoy the time I have left on earth than put 18 years into raising a kid.
I would love to get stuck with kids, my greatest fear has been not having kids. The problem with that is the next greatest fear, losing them.
One of my mates is getting divorced rn. It's beyond-words heart wrenching... It's just so ugly. Like I am pretty sure I want to get married, but some days it's like well shit lol

That's bullshit. It's not like you can't divroces if it doesn't workout. I agree marriage is more a contract which gives the woman financial benefits. It's notlike married men don't cheat... So marriage doesn't assure any woman you're hers.
Divorce favours the woman at a too high of percentage and the woman can claim any sort of abuse and claim more favour to her side. There goes the kids, house and his hard earned money.
I can think of more reasons why Women shouldn't get married, but ultimately it's their decision. Some people want to marry and there's no. reason anyone else not involved should care..
