My husband hasn't told his family we are married?

I've been married for almost a year and my husband hasn't told his family he is married. Even I kept it a secret for a while, but couldn't even last a week. We kept it a secret because we got married really fast (2 months of knowing each other) we knew it was crazy, but he wanted to do it because of cultural reasons. His parents also don't live here, they live in his home country, and he has no relatives here. All his friends know about me, we interact often, but I just want to know why he has waited this long. I understand being a bit scared, but this has gone too far, and the only way they are going to find out is because they are coming in a month to visit us. So if it was up to him he still wouldn't have said anything. Is there any logic in that? He loves me, cares for me, when he goes out of the state or country he's always calling me, buying me gifts from where he goes, but he still says nothing. He just says it's something he has to say in person, but even when he met his sister's in person he said nothing. What do y'all think?

I understand this situation cuz I've thought about it before.
I thought if I'm in America or something and I got to know some girl and really wanted to the next level with her, then am gonna have to marry her. And that would be weird to my family cuz she probably would be of different culture than me, so maybe they would judge me, but if they knew later after I've managed to live a year or more with her, they would understand that it's not shallow and probably respect it more, even tho it would be a surprise for them, but it would be a good shield against judgment and they will accept it as they will know that it already happened a good period of time ago.
One thing you should absolutely not worry about is that he might be ashamed of you. He definitely isn't!!! the circumstances are just not ideal.

Maybe he also has that perspective. Even some of his friends judged him for getting married with me because we are so different. They told him that Latinas cheat, and he stopped talking to those friends, so I know he truly loves me. It just hurts my feelings he has to hide it. but thanks, I've never about it this way

Who knows, ask him yourself. Its a bit odd but you said it might have something to do with his culture or where he is from. Eventually you will meet his parents soon so they will know in a month or so.

Hard to know why, but in all likelihood, it has absolutely nothing to do with him not loving you
