In what way do YOU believe society is effected by women expecting traditional roles from men while preferring modern roles for themselves?

I understand not all women blah blah blah… Looking at my question at scale… What effect does expecting one side to perform traditional roles while not expecting traditional roles from the other have?

We expect things for things and the category “traditional” involves many traits some prefer and others avoid. That being said the agreement has been men this way and women another. Many women are unwilling to compromise in regards to who’s asks who out, who pays, who’s last name to take, custodial priorities, he’ll even who takes out the trash and does yard work.

If women are allowed to maintain expectations of traditional men like provide and protection shouldn’t men also be able to maintain their expectations without judgement as well?

It worked during the '80s and '90s because at that time women still had the element of surprise, and they could trick men into going along with that concept by marrying them first and then springing the extra conditions on later.

But my generation has grown up with that, and we've seen firsthand what it does to older men that we know. So the women of our generation can't trick us like their mothers did. We simply refuse to get married.

They think we'll crack eventually, but I kind of doubt that that's going to happen. I think they'll be waiting a very long time.

That should be the expected within the traditions of the group the person identifies with. The problem is that the lines are blurred beyond delimitation at this point. For me, the safest route is to presume that everyone's modern, therefore everyone should mind their own business.

You make no sense and want it one way but not another, but it doesn't work like that.

You either are a traditional or modern. You need to make up your mind.

You are the one who likes female predators yet you judge male predators.

What exactly is it you want? You apply different standards to genders yet you are preaching equality here.

You should have your own preferences yes. A lot of modern women do seem to have traditional expectations of men, meanwhile not feeling inclined to offer anything traditional. You simply have to look for women that fit your expectations. A lot of modern women still enjoy certain traditions but aren't able to find a balance between tradition and feminism because of spcietal pressure to eradicate all forms of tradition. Truth is there are some aspects of tradition that actually make a relationship enjoyable for both men and women. So you just have to keep an eye out for the women that understand that.
