Why did he hide he recently got out of a 5 year relationship?

After knowing each other for about 7 months we got married. We’re both from out of the city we’re currently in (I’m from out of the country, getting a residency through this marriage but I truly love him and didn’t agree to the marriage because of green card.)

While I see he posts about us on social instagram, he hasn’t posted me on snapchat or Facebook. His mom was the only one that came to our wedding from his family and his siblings didn’t really post a congratulations or anything the day their brother got married. I found out through social media digging that he got out of a 5 year relationship 10 months ago and it seems he’s deleted many of his friends and his ex from back home. Which is odd?

when I confronted him he said he just didn’t see a point in keeping in touch from people from his home state. And that he ended things with his ex and didn't feel it was important to talk about her when we were meeting each other. But I still think it was important to know this past.

you see where others point of views are coming from tho, right? 7 months and already getting married... yet you don't even live in their country, so will be getting a green card and citizenship through this marriage. he JUST got out of a 5 year relationship not even a year ago... 10 months ago, yet you've been together for 7 months so that leaves 3 months of him not healing and being single. obviously these are red flags all around and why his family didn't show up. because they don't agree. they also likely don't even know you. so why show up? they probably think their brother is a dumbass. i'm not saying you are. i'm just saying this whole situation is very weird which is why he's acting like this.

he just seems like a hurt person that is trying to bury his feelings with a new relationship and took it too far with a marriage. i just think it's a big mistake. watch out...

Why would he be hurt though if he left her? It seem they would see each other months at a time but he didn’t feel he could give her the marriage she wanted since he didn’t feel ready. Yet with me he did, so I feel his feeling weren’t as strong for what he has for me.
