Finding the perfect gift for that special someone can be hard at times. Maybe you want to get them that beautiful vase you saw, but you're not sure if they really like those things.
Follow these guidelines to finding a gift they will sure to cherish.
1. Make a list of their interests
Before you actually think about what to get, jot down their hobbies and interests on a notebook. Maybe they like sports, art, baking? A painters set will do for that artist, or items relating to their interests. But make sure you dont get something they already have!
2. Ask their family/friends what they want
The person you want to get a gift probably had something in mind for months. Why not ask their parents, siblings, or close friends? They sure to have noticed what they wanted for a long time now. Maybe you find out the person is really into photography, so you could get them a new camera, or new lens!
3. Make them smile
You can also make the gifts a bit more creative. Instead or just handing them a gift card, or a small note, make it funny. Find out the simple things they like. It could be foods, or anything. That fangirl who just happens to drool over 5sos or whatever, get them an entire autobiography about the person. Hide a note or a gift card inside a book to make the gift even more tempting to know what it is, and more fun!
4. Make it yourself
This one is to those who love handmade gifts. It can be a knitted scarf, a special song dedicated to them, anything!
5. Capture the moment
Take them to a resturant they love, get tickets to their favourite concert, you get the idea. Take them to a romantic stroll in the park. A gift doesn't need to always be wrapped in a box. Life is short, get out there and live the moment!
6. Stalk
If all fails, surprisingly, just check out their Facebook page, Twitter, and see what they like. This shouldn't be too hard because that's what the site is ment for: to socialize and share interests. (that's what I think)
I hope this helps you, and really, if nothing at all helped you, just go to YouTube and type in 'gift ideas for (mom, brother, her, him. etc.)' and I'm positive you will find something. Add any other ideas in the comments.

I will keep this in mind for the next time I buy a gift
7. Give up and give them cash instead
Haha, my friend did this to me, with a little note saying: I forgot it was your birthday
In the Chinese culture, it is considered unfashionable and even at times rude to give money as a gift.
Chinese people will only accept money as gifts from foreigners as they understand that foreigners are not aware of the culture and customs.
@QooLipBite What about on Chinese New Year?
Don't the red envelopes contain money?
Chinese New Year, weddings and anniversaries would indeed require money in red envelopes/bags because it's like... Another custom 😂 these are the only exceptions.
If you want to give money as a gift, then a red envelope is a MUST xD
Interesting tradition that never heard of it myself but love learning things
@QooLipBite very interesting tradition.
