I’M NOT THE ONLY WOMAN THAT LOVES TO SHOP FOR NEW SHOES

[marionnasam]

Girl, same! 😭 It’s literally the dopamine hit for me. My brain gets so much satisfaction just from adding things to the cart, even if I don't check out. Half the time I’m not even buying for who I am now. I’m buying for the rich, organized, aesthetic version of myself that lives in my head

[_Jenny_]

@marionnasam I’m sure you do 💕you’re cute 🥰

[Nikki1989]

I hear you. I have a hopeless online shopping addiction. A $100 spend turns into a $1,000 one all the time.

[_Jenny_]

@Nikki1989 How did you know

[Iron_Man]

I think you’re a shopping fanatic You don’t like anything else you don’t like sports but there’s something about shopping that you always love. Even loveyouoak told me this that all you talk about is shopping and you told me this before that it’s your favorite thing to do. That’s why you are the shopping queen. But doesn’t that get expensive after a while?

[_Jenny_]

@Iron_Man Yes

[Iron_Man]

Enjoy your shopping, Jenny and one day. Tell me what stores youn like to shop at and what kind of clothes you like to buy?

[_Jenny_]

@loveyouoak doesn’t talk to me anymore

[Iron_Man]

Because she says that you were too busy working. She has me blocked for a while now I don’t know if she’s gonna get this mention..

I think people who are addicted to shopping use it as a stress reliever. I'd suggest you find a therapist to discuss this behavior with especially if you have large credit card bills you're finding hard to pay down or pay off. I'd say try to find a better behavior to replace the shopping urge with: exercise of any kind, a new hobby that engages you, talking to or hanging out with a friend. Good luck.

Females have X chromosomes and Males have Y chromosomes. It's not always recognized that a Y chrmosome is really an X chromosome with one of its legs cut off. And guess what's in that leg on the X chromosome? You got it, the shopping gene.

Women have it, Men don't.

Some people call shopping “retail therapy,” And i suspect there is some truth behind the humor. Shopping can be an escape, something so absorbing that we forget everything else for a few hours. Sometimes, that is all we need to feel better.

Since I had almost all of my belongings stolen from me TWICE, I was forced to shop and replace things. But I over did it and two months ago I suddenly stopped and don't have any desire to buy anything anymore! Nothing!

[ohsheeT]

Well if you didn't then something would be wrong everyone likes to shop

[_Jenny_]

@ohsheeT tell that to my boyfriend

[slatyb]

It's a comfort mechanism for you. My wife has it too, but she shops at thrift stores and resale shops so she never spends very much.

[DarKnight36]

I used to spend 3,000 dollars a month just on clothes and perfume, but once I experienced the pleasure that comes from excessive consumption, I grew bored of it and stopped.

[MysticDevice]

Retail therepy is a real thing. Not good for the wallet but brest for the 'ol dopamine receptors. Sort of.

[moddy_the_mod]

You want the dopamine hit from getting something.

[Veronika_p]

It's an addiction 😆🥰

[_Jenny_]

@veronika_p You bet it is

[NathanDavis]

consumerism can get the best of us...

[832loverboy73]

Broads have the shopping gene.

[Paige2006]

I love to shop for anything!

[Iron_Man]

OK, buy me a leather jacket. I can use one for winter and yes, it gets cold in Florida at times.

[RedInnocent69]

It gives you a sense of control and purpose
