Why are a lot of people scared of me?

Okay so I'm a 6'2 young woman and most people have been intimidated by me. I get asked the SAME question like "How tall are you?" "DAMN!! You're tall!" "Do you play basketball?" Or "You should model" I get that all the time yesterday when I was on my way to the bathroom, this three shorter girls looked up at me like they were scared of me. I just walked in very slow and they moved out of my way quickly. I overheard them that I'm so scary and never saw a girl that tall. One time when my younger cousins accident broke my pencil or something, they looked at me with a frightening look like I was going to beat them up. I told them it was fine no worries and they were relieved. I got taken seriously a lot more than my 5'2 and 5'5 friends sometimes. They wish they were as tall as I was. No they dont! Plus guys choose them over me and guys are afraid to approach me. I don't know why some people think I would beat them up. This one girl always wants to fight me and bullies me and taunts me because I'm 6'2. It's hard being a giant. People just walk right pass me really fast or almost bump into me. Short girls are very aggressive towards me. Even my 5'8 cousin was aggressive towards me. She's tall too!

Well, Tall girls don't really intimidate me. I find them cool most of the time. I've never dated a girl taller than me but I've considered it. I'm 5'11 or so, I'm not short but I'm not super tall either. If people don't get to know the real you then they're probably not worth knowing. When it comes to guys a lot of guys don't know how to approach a tall girl I'd say because they find the girl more aggressive looking only because she is bigger but I'd say the opposite. If someone is bigger than me I find them cool and a lot of tall people I know are pretty cool. So Give it time and I'm sure some day you'll find someone that is fascinated with you just as much as you're fascinated with them.

DUH, because you're taller than the average woman. As a matter of fact, you're taller than the average woman around the world and play most women are under 5'8. You appear stronger than smaller women. Also quit asking the same questions. You must of posted this like 11 or 12 times! Change you perspective to, "Always assuming best intentions". Unless you build relationships with these people you view as being scared of you, you will never know their true thoughts. Same goes for them getting to know you, they will never know how you feel about yourself or how great of a person you are.

As far as men... There are men who find tall women attractive so try not to focus on comparisons. My friend Michael and I were talking the other day and he was telling me about this girl he met and raved about how sexy she was because she was tall, good hearted and beautiful.

6'2 is really tall for a woman and height on a woman can be intimidating to some people. Even my 5'9 girl friend intimidates guys and she doesn't even have an intimidating demeanor---she comes off as really shy and sweet so it could only be her height that's intimidating.

It's really stupid though that some people seem practically frightened of you because of your height. Being tall doesn't make you any more aggressive than a shorter person nor does it mean you can fight any better than one. That's silly.

@Asker No need to worry about something you have no control over. No one can control their height. Just because some silly people make a big deal of your height or act intimidated by it doesn't mean you should feel insecure or anything like that about your height. Really, how good height looks on you depends a lot of how you carry yourself. Models carry themselves with a lot of poise and confidence. Doing so looks a lot better than, like, slouching over to make yourself look shorter. There's plenty of women who are intimidated by models but I doubt the models really give much of a crap, and you shouldn't, either.

Think it's just that a lot of guys have been conditioned to believe they don't stand a chance at impressing any girl who is taller than him. So he either starts fumbling his words because a big piece of his brain is shouting "Why are you even trying this?", or he gives up immediately and so it seems like he's dismissing you. But it's just him thinking statistically.
