I identify as Muslim. Srsly, I'm against racism just like Islam is, so I oppose racial division. This thing needs to stop sometime, we are all human race!
I thinks it's weird it's like that. Why can't they just say they're mixed? If someone sees the "white" passing person and it's written black on the papers, it would just be confusing.
I'm 50% Filipino 25% Indian and 25% African American so that makes me 75% Asian and 25% black so what am I? I consider myself Asian because I have more Asian blood
@Jazzy_xox, if you saw this Portuguese/Spanish looking child and it's written in the paper she's black, wouldn't it be confusing? If I saw her, I would guess she had South-European heritage. civilwartalk.com/.../
@Jazzy_xox That makes sense. If I were you, I would also consider myself Asian. I was talking about people who are black and white. They're considered black only.
The way the law is written, if you have any black blood in you. You are black, does not matter how far back it was.
I know a family that are blond haired blue eyed and white by all the standards, but because they descended from a mixed black slave that gained freedom over 300 year ago. Even thought there has not been any black blood in that family since, they are still considered black by the law.
@Jazzy_xox No it does not, but that is the way the law is written. If you have 1 drop of black blood in your family's past, you are black forever in the eyes of the law.
@Hal2002 still is confusing though why would they even make that a rule? I'm mixed Filipino, Indian, and African American so I'm automatically black? -_-
@Jazzy_xox I do not know why, having mixed black blood is such a big deal. But that is the way things are, which is really funny if you think about it. As the human race originated in African, which means that the original race was black and at the core of our DNA ever human on earth is of African descent.
There's no proof of that "Panjaea" was all one continent at one point could have started anywhere scientists don't really know shit its all theories plus if that were true why are black people the only ones that get sickle cell anemia if we were all black every race would get it
Science has proven that every human alive today, can trace their DNA back to a single female.
The races came about because of geographic location, humans adapted to survive in the conditions of their environment. Every race has medical conditions, specific to that race.
Acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans, Aortic aneurysm, Bladder cancer, Crohn's disease are a couple of medical conditions unique to Caucasian's.
Science also said the t Rex had scaled skin then had feathers... again nobody knows especially some nerds that spent 100k of daddys money for tuition when they could have gotten the same education from reading at their local library
@Jazzy_xox It's not about respecting or disrespecting their white side, it's just how thinks work. Society sees black and white people as black. Especially since most of times (NOT always) they look "more black" than "white".

I'm a gypsy and I have some native American Indian in me to as well as a rich European background.
If I was from mixed heritage I would say I'm biracial
I self-identify as the race people tend to say I most look like that would be the White race.
you identify yourself as the gene that was more dominant
whatever gets me the most points with colleges lol. or if I'm in a racist place, I say white. also, damn those mixeds are ugly up top
I self identify as human. No other imaginary delineations are necessary.
does slavic and caucasian count as "bi racial" ? xD
Why does it matter? Nothing special about being mixed race tho! ( Half White and Half Indian)
Scottish, Irish, Italian, native American. But people tell me I am white.
I'm 1% African so that makes me Black according to (white) European American standards.
What would being 3% Neanderthal make me then? 😀
@cavmanier Human.
I'm a mix of many things but I identify as a beef burrito
I'm 75% and 25% black so I identify more as Asian even though my skin is naturally tanned and not pale and my type of Asian is Filipino
Celtic European Jewish Gypsy hobbit.
😒
Now I wait for the anti-Semites
I usually don't indentify my race; when I'm required to, though, I say I'm biracial.
My kids are bi-racial and identify as black even though they are really light since I'm white
Identify with the race that's the minority. It's easier to get a good job that way.
I just say I'm black. I'm 1/4 Indian
If your black n white your considered black
Depends how "black" passing or "white" passing you're.

These kids at the black and white photography from 19th century could pass as Portuguese.

Legally your still black though
So biracial/mixed people aren't considered mixed, but black if they're mulatto in the US? Then I learned something new.
Yeah I don't know about the rest of the world but in u. s. Yes
I thinks it's weird it's like that. Why can't they just say they're mixed? If someone sees the "white" passing person and it's written black on the papers, it would just be confusing.
I don't know they should
@ken718 You're right. But some people don't understand that.
I mean, when you say that a mixed race person (black and white) is considered black.
I'm 50% Filipino 25% Indian and 25% African American so that makes me 75% Asian and 25% black so what am I? I consider myself Asian because I have more Asian blood

@curiousnorway Damn, that could be a cousin. He look is a dead ringer, for a first cousin of mine.
@Jazzy_xox That makes sense. If I were you, I would also consider myself Asian. I was talking about people who are black and white. They're considered black only.
@curiousnorway yeah that is confusing
@menina oh well that's messed up because your basically disrespecting their white side
The way the law is written, if you have any black blood in you. You are black, does not matter how far back it was.

@Hal2002 but that still doesn't even make sense
@Jazzy_xox No it does not, but that is the way the law is written. If you have 1 drop of black blood in your family's past, you are black forever in the eyes of the law.
@Hal2002 not in America no if you have 1% black in you your still Caucasian i have Native American blood doesn't mean shit im still labeled white
@Hal2002 still is confusing though why would they even make that a rule? I'm mixed Filipino, Indian, and African American so I'm automatically black? -_-

@Hal2002, so technically we're all black since it's in Africa the human population started? Then the law could say we're all black then.
There's no proof of that "Panjaea" was all one continent at one point could have started anywhere scientists don't really know shit its all theories plus if that were true why are black people the only ones that get sickle cell anemia if we were all black every race would get it
