Which Chore is Worse, Laundry or Dishes?
*Also when searching for true love find someone who likes doing the chore you hate.*
I do both everyday for my boyfriend and myself, and I can say with absolute certainty that the dishes are much worse a (for me, at least). It combines water with food, and soap, and requires a lot more strenuous effort than the laundry.
It also has a bit of a mental aspect to it. Seeing a sink full of dirty dishes is a lot more daunting than a bucket full of dirty clothes. Double so when all of those dishes are covered in scraps of food you use finished cooking.
In the end, I don't really mind doing either. I actually like doing the laundry, and am content doing the dishes as long as there aren't an overwhelming amount of them. My boyfriend says "Keep your friends close, but those who like to do the dishes and laundry closer," as a joke to his friends about me sometimes.
I don't have babies though I have dealt with babies so I suppose I understand why women don't want to do laundry.
My laundry consists off 4 loads usually. My workout classes this along with my guys workout clothes once we found the right detergent and add in. My clothes are put into garment wash bags to protect them and on delicate necessary for both our clothes.
Then you have the dog exposed items that need to have for r removed. Only wash them all together.
Bedding wash.
Then everything else wash. I can't sit and watch TV so I launder whilst TV'ing.
I like laundry because I can just dump it in the wash, do whatever I wan't for about an hour and then throw it in the dryer for another 50mins. I don't have any trouble with folding and I like the scent of clean laundry. With dishes though, the scrubbing gets tiresome, the soap dries out my hands, and it can take forever depending on the amount of dishes, I also get a bit salty when people dump out their broth, drink, etc. in the sink and dirtying my just soaped dishes.
That won't be a problem if you've a dish washer. It exists like a washing machine.
@curiousnorway I know and I do but I still have to wash pots and pans and if I have guests over, It makes more sense to wash the overflow of dishes with my hands. I really don't like to have dishes sitting in the sink. My roomate/brother is also really bad about leaving his dishes out or inviting friends over and then leaving their dishes around the apartment. And because the food crusts up I wind up having to soak and scrape the chunks of food off before I can even put it in the machine.
Laundry. It's so mundane. I like dishes more because I like the feeling of the soap and warm water. Neither of them is bad because I've done the dishes and laundry for years so I've gotten pretty good at both. It doesn't take me long to either.
I absolutely hate doing laundry. From that, I think I'd appear biased if I'd say that doing laundry is worse. I prefer doing the dishes than doing laundry.
Cuz we don't have a fucking machine XDXD
At your age I felt the same because I wasn't paying for
My expensive clothes and they magically looked good. We had a maid 5 days a week but I was the kitchen maid on weekends and hated it because it wasn't my choice.
Now I only do dishes either whilst watching TV or at a family celebration and then it's the three of us girls and fun.
Laundry is worse. Pay per pound to have someone else do it.
Laundry is worse in my opinion.
In addition to throw it into the washing machine and then the drying machine you've to fold the clothing, iron them etc. which is boring in my opinion.
When you're doing the dishes you just needs to throw them into the dishwasher if you've one and after that just letting them lie on a table in order to dry before putting it in the kitchen cabinets.
Doing the dishes is a bit worse without a dishwasher, but as long there's nobody hanging over my shoulders telling me the water isn't hot enough (I'm high sensitive) and leaves me alone, it's not that bad.
I'll gladly do laundry, but dishes can fuck right off. Most because I have a feet issue. While doing dishes, they get red and itchy. And they ALWAYS sweat. Even if I am riding a motorcycle in the winter with tennis shoes. I'll wear them in snow, doesn't faze me. But dishes are still gross.

I prefer laundry. I actually kind of like doing it. I really hate doing the dishes. We don't have a dishwasher, so it can get pretty overwhelming at times. And I find it very annoying that kitchen sinks are built so freaking low. Every time I do the dishes for half an hour, I feel like my back is going to break.
For me doing laundry personally, because the laundry machines in my apartment unit suck as they don't dry and it's $1 to wash and $1 to dry.
Used to hate doing the dishes as I don't have a dishwasher but I mitigate my loads of dishes by washing each dish I use whenever I'm done eating. Used to be really lazy with that shit.
Doing dishes is the worst! Luckily, I have a dishwasher now so most things get thrown in there. I don't have a problem doing laundry - it's easy and folding and ironing are no big deal. My husband generally does the laundry though.
Bro, doing the dishes absolutely sucks.. I feel your pain.
No, I prefer dishes. Hate laundry.
I know. Just having to choose between the two sucks.
Both are pretty fine to me. I hate vacuuming and dusting!
But I've never faced a sink like that before... Doing chores regularly is the key to mental health...
I always hate dishes, laundry you just toss into the machine stick a pod in the machine and bing bam boom you're nearly done.
Dishes i hate the smell of food and the garbage disposal
I HATE doing dishes, particularly emptying the dishwasher!
dishes are disgusting they have all of that bacteria in them
I love laundry. I don't know. So out of the two i'd say dishes.
Dishes, definitely. I hate standing in one place for a long time, and cleaning off the food filth is nasty.
there are a lot of dishes that shouldn't go in the dish washer.. Most clothes can go in the washing machine.
Dishes are quick. Laundry you gotta fuck around every hour and switch it to the dryer and put another load in. Dishes are easy and quick
I dread doing laundry, I hate it it's so mundane. I'd much rather do the dishes.
I've washed dishes for 5 months straight at restaurant i take dishes like a bosss!
I don't mind doing either, but if I had to choose... I'd do laundry.
Laundry actually because people are just gonna judge you by what clothe you usually wear and it's heavy, and they take all of your clothes.
DISHES !
It's not even close for me, dishes are just grrr!
i love doing laundry. i love the fragrances and folding, even ironing.
I always do all the laundry and wash all the dishes, pots and pans for the woman I'm serving, and I don't mind doing it at all.
