Like every girl i also have a crush on a celebrity, on Brad Pitt. After we saw a movie together yesterday i told him that if i had the chance i would fuck Brad Pitt (i was serious but i probably wouldn't do it in the end cause i love my boyfriend too much to jeoperdaze our realationship).
He answered than that if he could have the chance he would fuck Sarah (My best friend).

I was extremly hurt.

Was it my fault?

Yeah, you started it, you should handle it. I'd say it's comparable, since it's just a "if I had the chance" hypothetical situation, whether it's your best friend or a celebrity, doesn't mean it's ever going to happen. Granted Brad is less likely to happen than Sarah, because of obvious reasons, but still basic situation is the same. Can't say if he was serious or just spiteful though, since I didn't see his reaction to what you said or how he said what he said, but I'd guess spite. Whether or not you should apologize, depends on if you had an argument afterwards. If you did, then yes, I think you are the party more at fault, but if you didn't then I don't see a reason to apologize. If my hypothetical SO said something like that, I think I'd be curious as to why that particular celebrity, I suppose. I don't immidiately recall any celebrity with a lot of the same physical traits that I have, so I think I'd be intriqued to hear what draws her to that particular celebrity.

On the flip side in a better situation you could have asked about his celebrity crush and then shared yours that way you can discuss it between one another. The way you did it was hurtful and his response (also hurtful) was to kind of make you see how much that sort of statement hurts and devalues you. Go apologise and say you were speaking before thinking and I am sure he will apologise back if you say that you were hurt by his comeback.

I think both of you were wrong. It was insensitive of you to make such a blunt, sexual comment about a celebrity crush. But he did take it a step further by making the same comment about your actual friend, which is quite different. However, it's possible that he just spoke harshly to get back at you for hurting him. I don't think you can compare a celebrity crush to an actual friend crush. However, you took the first blow, so you have to consider that when you address this. I would suggest that you apologize for your comment and let him know that you see how it might have hurt him. Then explain that you wouldn't actually sleep with a celebrity, because you do love your boyfriend. Hopefully, once that is cleared up, he will also apologize and clarify that his comment was just an aggressive comeback. But if he stands by his statement and says that he really does want to have sex with your friend, then that's definitely a problem.
