Who do you think pays those scientists to do the research and what would happen to their paychecks if they weren't giving out some kind of results. Even if they have to fake them. They would be out of a very high paying job if they said that there was no climate change.
@rokn69 yeah you're right! It's a global conspiracy that everyone is in on to pull the wool over your eyes to create a new world order. They're a bunch of communists in sheep's clothing!
It has 2 sources. The sun getting bigger and air pollution. We banned CFCs and that helped but we need to plant more trees if we are going to continue with just dumping our waste products in the air.
CFCs were making a hole in the ozone layer, letting more UV light reach the ground; nothing to do with global warming. (China is releasing it again, despite the ban.)
It is, the process the sun uses turns hydrogen into helium. Helium is bigger than hydrogen and the sun will slowly expand and consume the earth ( in many billions of years)
It's not a big change but it will make a difference.
@goaded well technically climate change isn't making a real change in human timescales either or more would be being done about it lol. That's the thing the changes are subtle. Subtle enough that you can call them anomalies. While i don't agree with the way A-man-22 is saying it he is right as the the sun uses up it's nuclear fuel it will get hotter. In a billion years it'll be 10% hotter. Hot enough that the oceans will have boiled away. If we haven't been rendered extinct in other ways i'm sure we'll still want to exist even aa billion years from now.
@ChiTown33 It's in human timescales if you care about your grandchildren!
OK, strictly speaking the sun is getting bigger and hotter, but If the sun's going to take a billion years to get 10% hotter, what's the change over 1000 years?
We aren't doing anything. What were the people doing wrong when the Sahara became a dessert huh? The sure as hell weren't burning fossil fuels. So somehow i don't think fossil fuels have anything to do climate change. It is purely a natural phenomenon. Man has very little if anything at all to do with it and neither does burning fossil fuels. Scientists are wrong about stuff like this all the time. They just want to continue getting their grants from the government so that they can continue to come up with some more bullshit tp keep them getting a paycheck.
@rokn69 Overgrazing, tipping it out of its natural rhythm.
"For several hundred thousand years, the Sahara has alternated between desert and savanna grassland in a 41,000 year cycle caused by the precession of the Earth's axis as it rotates around the Sun, which changes the location of the North African Monsoon. The area is next expected to become green in about 15,000 years (17,000 AD). There is a suggestion that the last time that the Sahara was converted from savanna to desert it was partially due to overgrazing by the cattle of the local population.[8] "
@rokn69 As for what people were doing wrong when the Sahara became a desert: That was specifically salting the Sahara plains so nothing could grow, which in turn cut down on the wind-reduction, which lead to rapid desertification that has still been going on to this day. A similar thing ALMOST happened in the U. S. during the early 1900's (it was known as the 'dust bowl'), caused by over-farming plains areas with bad crop practices, but to correct it, the U. S. launched a massive awareness and incentive campaign to ensure responsible crop planting, such as working with the contours of the land, handling proper drainage, using wind-wall tree lines, and allowing fields to fallow every so often.
@rokn69 Also, as for "scientists being wrong about stuff like this all the time"...
No. They aren't.
Very little in science, once tested, peer-reviewed, and accepted as scientific consensus ever gets overturned. And Climate Change is one of these highly tested and peer-reviewed things.
Now, what you claimed is a common misconception, what causes that misconception is the following: - Sometimes you'll find that was once believed only applies to the areas tested and there are exceptions as where we can test expands (such as Newton's laws of gravity, which he could only test on Earth, only applying within a static relativistic frame, as was later expanded by Einstein). But the testing area for Global Warming is Earth. And we've got a pretty good grasp on Earth right now. Even in spite of Einstein, all of Newton's research is still useful and valid, it's merely that it's limited to applying to Earth. - Businessmen. Businessmen, notorious for being snake-oil salesmen, are often liars, and LOVE to lend themselves credibility from any means neccesarry. They'll hire sports stars to say their sugary-drink is athletics-boosting (such as Gatorade... Coconut water is a much better rehydrating solution.) They'll get people to be forced to buy their product (insurance companies, and oil subsidies). And they'll often heavily mis-interpret science to claim benefit. (Sugar manufacturers tried to get people off of High Fructose Corn Syrup recently, citing research showing too much HFCS is bad for you. Twenty years ago, they got people to switch to HFCS by citing research that too much sugar was bad for you. Thing is, the science there hasn't really changed in a hundred years. BOTH are equally bad for you, because as far as your digestion goes, they're pretty much the same thing.) This is where a LOT of the 'scientists change their mind a lot' idea comes from, is corporations misleading people. - Religions: They lie about science ALL THE TIME. Usually when it disagrees with them.
Global warming is a myth. The government's around the world are using it as a tax grab. It just goes to show how pathetic they are. There is absolutely no real evidence that global warming exists.

It undeniably, unagruably exists, and it's the singular biggest threat to our planet.
Climate change is clearly a near universally agreed upon phenomenon across scientific disciplines worldwide.

Dont know much about it but I've heard its whats causing people to have a lot more allergies so for that im pissed, because im one of them.
A huge scam to extract more money and push social agendas

It exists with china, America and the EU being the biggest contributors to carbon emissions worldwide
It’s a hoax. The world goes through periodic trends of higher increases in the ppm of carbon dioxide in the air.
And the last time it was this high was 800,000 years ago, iirc. Not a hoax.
Fool
Only beta males believe it’s real 😂😂
Global warming is a myth. The government's around the world are using it as a tax grab. It just goes to show how pathetic they are. There is absolutely no real evidence that global warming exists.
The world getting hot and fucked up in temperatures 🤷🏻♀️
Its going to render the human race extinct unless we kill all the religious people
In my life time I have seen changes in the weather patterns.
I'll be dead before it happens and I'm not having kids so who cares
It's already happening
Yes but it won't be devasting for a few years yet
Maybe, maybe not.
I live on the 7th floor. I think I'm safe
The amount of times we've been "12 years away from Armageddon" is getting rather high
Firstly, it's "we've got 12 years to make significant changes", not "the world will end in 12 years". Secondly, name two other times.
It's real, but it's inevitable and people exaggerate how significant human influence over it is
There are ways to handle it, but we all need to do something
It exists, and this time it's sped up by humans.
It exists, I don't know why this is called a liberal thing toug
It exists, it's not an opinion it's a fact
It's natural, the planet goes through cycles of heating and cooling, how do you think we got the ice age
