Well climate change isn't necessarily one of those things you'll feel by just stepping outside. The difference is only a degree or two on the aggregate (which when combined with the scale of the environment and ocean, is basically more energy than we could possibly release in nuclear Holocaust)
Mostly how you will see it is in frequency of rare storms, instability in rainfall, and a host of other changes depending on the environment.
I live in the Midwest. Our weather has actually gotten more mild. Mostly in the form of warmer winters, but longer and deeper summer droughts. The seasons have also shifted by probably 4-6 weeks. It used to rarely snow in April. Happening once or twice in the first 20 years of my life, but the vast majority happening the last 10.
If climate change were to be disproven without a doubt, that would be amazing news, and I wish that were the case. But a good chunk of the data we have proving climate change came from people who were actively trying to disprove it. From the fossil fuel and automotive industries.
It's already been established fact by the DoD. They don't even debate it anymore. The effects of climate change was taken into account in how we were trying to handle middle-eastern relations, because their economies will be stressed further by additional heat and water shortages.
The oil moguls in the Arabian peninsula have long known about it. Why do you think the UAE built Dubai so quickly? Why did they need to build man-made islands? The tallest skyscraper? (They didn't plumb it in.) The "line city"? They are using oil money to diversify their economic portfolio away from oil and towards tourism and global trade.
I'd say really it's mostly the US, and even a minority here, who are in denial. It's horrible politics because now we have no right-wing solutions like other countries do. The right wing basically handed the left a political monopoly on climate change with their stubborn denialism.

Only in America do you have to preemptively defend yourself when daring to mention climate change.
It's legitimately terrifying how much stupid there is over there.

Global warming is real and something should be done about it. If we don't act, our planet will become a place where it's impossible to live and to survive.
We all can see the consequences of global warming, but some people still believe it's an hoax. This is very serious, and it threatens all humans.

When the temperature is below normal, do you also assume that disproves the global warming theory?
The climate has been shifting around for millions of years.
Believe it or not you are in fact living in the middle of one of Earth's Great ice ages known as the Quaternary ice age.
There is permanent ice on both poles for 85%+ of Earth's history this was not the case. Instead until just 2.5 million years ago Earth existed in a warmer more tropical environment, such as where most of Earth's life still exist around the equatorial regions.
The last several million years of the on going Quaternary ice age has involved large scale instability.
This is due to the earth periodically shifting between 100,000+ years of Glacial Maximum conditions like you might see in a movie (Mile high ice covering London and New York) to relatively warm 10,000+ year Interglacial such as the current one called the Holocene.
We are not even living in a particular warm part of the Holocene epoch nor is the temperature changing particularly quickly. The fastest change in the Holocene took place during a period known as the Younger Dras which saw a 10C rise in 100 years.
Ultimately however the current Interglacial must end and frankly given their average age we are due for that happening soon. When it does the earth will be plunged back into a Glacial Maximum for anther 100,000+ years.
Hopefully our tecnoligy will have reached the point where we no longer depends upon so much land and favorable conditions before that happens or most of the current human population will have to leave Earth.
We should be trying to prolong the current Interglacial as long as possible if not end the Ice age. Indeed ideal temperature for us humans is about 8C warmer than today as even scientist looking for other planets know. Here's the difference between global warming and climate change if people want to know or care to know.
https://climate.nasa.gov/faq/12/whats-the-difference-between-climate-change-and-global-warming/
And here's what 97% of scientists agree on
https://climate.nasa.gov/faq/17/do-scientists-agree-on-climate-change/ I'm sure if anyone here is actually a scientist that is in the 3% but we'll buy a toothpaste based on the recommendation of 4 out of 5 which is 80% lol.
I know a friend who's a scientist and no that doesn't make me one ha. That said, she is way smarter than probably 99% of the people here. I will believe her, someone I've known half my life, over anyone here who's education is from Q anon, just googling why climate change is fake, and then all of a sudden becoming an expert.
@monoprise Your comment is articulated well and I appreciate it. I'm not sure if you're saying the same as 97% of scientists or if you're saying this is all normal.

It's a HUGE hoax and if the people touting it actually gave a flying fuck about it and thought it was real, they wouldn't be globe-hopping in private jets to tell you all about how important it is! Anybody that falls for it, and especially those who give money to people purported to fix it, are mentally deranged sheep and have more money than brains!!
So it was warm, today!! BIG DEAL!! That's nothing new!! I was just on the front porch enjoying it and remembering the time we played a gig in northern Ohio on Dec. 7th about 25 years ago and, afterward, it was so warm out, we went to a friend's house and spent the rest of the night running around in their back yard throwing Frisbees and wearing shorts and no shirts!! Like tonight, the wind was blowing a lot that night and, by 5 in the morning, the temperature dropped at least 30 degrees!! I expect the same to happen tonight. There were also a number of times when I was a kid in the `60's and `70's and it was a nice warm day on Christmas or New Years but we still got hit with freezing temps a few days later! Back then, they were telling us we were headed for another ice age any year now! So far, 50 years later, that still hasn't happened!
Did you ever see those guys standing around on the street holding signs saying, "The end is nigh!"? They've been doing that for hundreds, if not thousands of years and, here we all are, still alive!! This global warming shit is every bit as much of a hoax as those guys! Only difference is, those guys aren't asking for money to try to fix it!I'm not sure I am convinced.
Ever since the 70s, the narrative on it has constantly been changing. From new ice age to global warming and now climate change (because I guess people just kept pointing out record temperature lows and it was inconvenient). Also, every record temperature highs and lows have made sure to point out that it was the worst since the time when people weren't panicking about that, like 1960s and prior.
Their doomsday dates keep changing too. We would be seeing some pretty noteworthy stuff if any of these predictions were correct, like Florida just submerging in water.
The politicians who push it don't seem all that concerned either. Look at the Obamas, having their home at Martha's Vineyard, one of the first places to go if ocean levels start rising. How literally every politician and 1 percenters use private jets instead of what they are planning on *forcing* people to do so that they will set an example.
I would not be surprised if this all turns out to be a load of crap.
I LIKE global warming - especially from Nov-Mar. I don't have to shovel global warming off my driveway. Or scrape it off our cars. Or worry about slipping and sliding when driving. Or be concerned about falling on global warming. What's even better? My heating bill is a LOT lower because of global warming! At these stupid (Biden-enabled-"I did that!") fuel prices, I'm fully READY for all the global warming this planet can send me!
So yeah... Keep it coming!
At one point, this planet was supposedly in an ice age. So global warming HAD to happen at some point. You can't blame fossil fuels and cow farts on that! These climate change weenies are full of cow ca-ca!
it has been an extremely warm summer here. Lots of fires and low water levels in rievers and reservoirs. I have noticed that it is happening a lot across the US. I don't know if it is connected to global warming, but when November hit it quickly truned cold and the rain has been coming down like a fire hose!
the earth moves through cycles that can take thousands of years, but man thinks that they are experts studying 10 to 100 years' worth of data.
That isn't even a blink of mother nature's eye.
Go back in history and the top part of the US was covered by glaciers, yet man wasn't around then, there were no fossil fuels being used yet they all melted.
Scientists can study and surmise what happened, but even they cannot agree with each other on what really happened.
The earth was here long before us, and it will be here long after we become extinct, it is just how it happens, but it will take a lot longer for that to happen than 100 or so years.I don’t know why people get so caught up about it being real or not real. The climate is shifting. Does it really matter if it is caused by humans? The results aren’t good. And is it really so bad to try and have less of an environmental impact?
I don’t know if I believe in it but I also don’t think it matters if I believe in it or not.You are going to get a lot of bullshit from a lot of people.
As someone with physics and engineering degrees, let me clear the air a bit:
The science behind global warming is sufficiently simple and intuitive to almost any college physics student. So much so, it was first predicted in 1896 in Sweden. That's not a typo. 1 8 9 6 not 1986. So, 126 years ago, global warming was first predicted.
It’s happening. We’re a big cause. And we can beat it without affecting our lives that much.
Obama doesn’t get enough credit for forcing car companies to go up to 30 mpg…biggest environmental legislation since the Clean Water Act. We dems seriously don’t know how to market ourselves.- s
might not be a problem for you now but poor your kids, grandkids and great grandkids in the future who could actively have to deal with major consequences that come from the global warming that not many people take as seriously as they should lolol
It's so hard to keep up. First it was global cooling, then global warming, then climate change, and now it's back to global warming and boobs. lol
I'll start caring about it when the climate czar Kerry stops flying in private jets.
One day anomalies prove nothing. Here's why I believe it. Snow won't happen if it's really cold here. So like 15F or below. Generally we didn't get much snow because of this. More recently we've been getting a lot more snow because it isn't as cold. It's still cold, just less.
Earth's Atmosphere is ever changing which means it is Alive, Which is why we cannot prevent Severe Storms or other massive Weather events it is just the way it works, Even if we stopped poluting the ozone layer etc Tomorrow it still wouldn't make it any worse or any better.
Just like there were people that insisted that covid couldn't kill them there are 4 million people who are dead that tend to refute that opinion. Now we have people insisting that climate warming is just a myth and again those people won't believe anything different until they are literally underwater. Some people's stupidity can withstand almost any direct evidence.
There has been an increase over the past 130+ year in the global surface temperature as reported by NASA. Your outfit today is the silver lining to this black cloud.
https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/That you wanted to show boobs so you created question!
One day, or one year with above or below the average temperature is neither proof nor disproof for climate change, you always gave to compare 30years with the 30years before in order to get an idea.
You had an unusually warm day, that doesn't prove anything.
Climate change is real, the numbers show that Earth's climate is changing, with an overall increase in average temperature.
