We all know (or at least should know) that "white" or "white" women is/are the standard of beauty in society for some odd reason. I say white only because other features like a Roman nose, straight hair, colored eyes aren't exclusive to the usual western idea of beauty.I can't tell how I look to others or if it's genuine, whether I'm universally attractive (attractive to a large group/various groups of people with different beauty standards) or just ugly.
Of course I've had the occasional people that don't find me attractive.I've noticed hostility from girls that I've worked with. The same that I've noticed from family growing up. Girls that will lie, act funny, make smart comments or avoid me for no apparent reason.
Then there's guys that I hear say I'm pretty or compliment me but it seems like guys compliment even the most sub par women just to get sex.
I've worked with guys where I knew they found me attractive and tried to be friendly for one thing.
I've had a customer come into a store I worked at and called me pretty. At the same place my coworkers (all male) were super nice and would act weird in a good way or compliment me. One told me a supervisor from the other store that came to help was on the phone with a guy from his store and said "there's this cute black girl that works here"I apparently don't look like Megan fox or madison beer. Nor do I look like Lauren London or Megan good.I've never had guys ask me out on a genuine date to get to know me for me. Maybe it's just this generation. I worked at a call center & a few guys in my training class tried to hit on me or they'd just stare.
I've also heard negative comments from men and it was usually when I was dressed up going out and it'd be something like "she thinks she's a superstar" "she just wants attention " petty things like that.
The negative experiences are what sticks with me and makes me think maybe I'm not so pretty.
"White is the standard of beauty for some reason", do you think it might have to do with the fact that its the "standard" because white people make up 63% of the population? Also what do you mean the "standard", as in this is what is "pushed" by society? because that isn't the case, things are marketed more towards white women because again, are you trying to get 13% of the population (blacks), 17% of the population (Hispanics), or 63% of the population (whites) to buy your product?
As for universally attractive, their is no such thing. Some will find you attractive some will not, some prefer white women, some prefer black women, some prefer Asian, and some prefer Hispanic, others however won't.
So how can you gauge how attractive you are? Well, you can look in a mirror, you can see how often you are ogled or asked out, you could post your picture online and ask to be rated if you really want to. Its hard to say though because every one is different (I don't have a racial preference, but some people do (my friend is white, he prefers Hispanic and black women, I know of other white guys who only want white or Asian and so on and so forth).

Yes, that standard is pushed by society. Everytime you turn on the tv you see mostly white people, most ads, games, etc. Its not because other races dont want roles or dont try out for things, its because thats what companies purposely look for. America has a dark history.. White people are becoming a minority.
Ah, so your racist. Whites are not a minority, they are the majority ergo the majority of people in the media and on tv are white because. . . the majority of people are white. Also what dark history are you talking about? Are you referring to slavery which predates the written language and existed for over a century in Africa, the middle east and asia after Europeans and americans ended it? Not really a good argument. Also it was 150 years ago and it was pushed by a sizable minority of people whom the majority fought (in its bloodiest war) to end it and did so. Then those same people tried to undermine the peace and equality that the majority put in place and the majority fought it tooth and nail to the point where its now a non issue. Meanwhile how benevelonent and kind have African nations been? Well they mass murder not only rivalling tribes but also have been commiting genocide against whites and have slavery (in fact slavery wasn't officially abolished in Africa until 1981). So no, we don't have a dark history, Africa and the middle east and asias history was slavery was good, racism was good, and they had no desire to change it. Meanwhile the idea that this was wrong occurred in the west and America, we ended it, we thought that racism was wrong and now we are the ones who are being told we started it despite the fact that whites where enslaved by Africans for millenia (you can look at roman history for instance, where north arfricans were constantly raiding their cities for slaves. You can look at the history of spain where muslims came in and enslaved the populace, you can see it in eastern Europe where the ottomans came in and enslaved whites (in fact the term slave is derived from the term slav which itself was short for Slavic i. e. white blonde hair blued people who where enslaved by huns (Asians), mongols (Asians) and muslims (middle easterns) so much that their very name became synonymous with forced subjugation).
As for us becoming a minority, the fact that you say that with seeming glee shows that your rabidly racist. Name me one non white nation that has even HALF as many whites in their nation and gives them equal rights. How many African nations welcome immigrants from asia or any other place in the world like white nations do? How about china, or any Asian nation welcoming in africans? Middle eastern nations? Yeah, none do. So that's why "whites are becoming a minority", because unlike every single other group in this world, we are not racist. However you are clearly. I have no idea if your physically attractive or not, but I can tell you your personality is ugly.

You are literally judging one race differently then others, assigning traits to one race and not another and claiming one is better then the other. That is racism by literal definition. As for your "post slavery" affects, their are none. Everything blacks are going through now started in the sixties when they began to have more and more out of wedlock birth rates (74% now) and the lack of fathers in the homes. Also again, you said a dark history which as I pointed out, was actually a hell of a light brighter then any one elses history. Also again, your praising the destruction of a group of people, the only people by the way who has been the most friendly and open of any group in the world bar none (objectively speaking). No I do (everything I stated is provable fact), you just don't like what your hearing because you have been told your entire life that white people are evil and out to get you and that the system is whats responsible for every bad thing that has ever happened to black people (but not the bad things that happen to every one else for some reason) and therefore you should never be held accountable for your actions nor should any other black person. Meanwhile African immigrants are doing better then most whites despite these "racist" systems and the richest people in the country are all minorities (Indian, Thai, Filipino, Jewish in that order). The fact is, you've been indoctrinated into a set of beliefs that are incredibly racist not just to whites but blacks as well (because its a belief structure that sees blacks as inferior (because what other explanation do you have for every single other group succeeding within the system except for blacks?)) as well as being highly self destructive (because if everything is every one elses fault their is no reason for you to change your behavior and fix your communities thus ensuring that the problems that you have continue until such a time that you step up and try to change them).

Popularity-"pretty" white women are popular, there are probably more white celebrities worldwide than any other race/color. people like popular things so they're drawn in to the whole game. When I think "people famous for just being famous" I can't think of anyone other than white honestly. Who else is there? Forbidden-could be the girl next door, a different race because your family is full of devout racists, your cousin because that's weird. Foreign-the town in Japan with a 1% white population thinks white guys are the hottest. The town in America with the 1% Asian population thinks they're the hottest. Color- don't take it as a racist thing, this ain't about that, but people in general are more attracted to brighter colors. Have you ever seen a pure black living room wall? Probably nah. Shit loads of white and pale colors though. Stereotypes- Americans looking for that submissive Asian beauty, white girls hooking up with a BBC. It happens.
Oops hit send. Anyways, 'white' countries just have a bigger fashion industry. Europe and USA just hold a bigger slice and most of us happen to be white. It's held as a standard just because that's what everyone sees. I have no idea why some black women value being light skinned so much just like some white women value being tanned as dark as possible so much. It doesn't play over as much on the men's side. Everyone's got a match out there. Just go find it

I'm sorry the negative things have stuck with you. I think that's true of many women, no matter what they look like. Beauty seems to be the only thing many people gauge a woman's worth by. This of course is so not true but a lot of women have bought into that.

You might not like this opinion but it could be because of your attitude and that they think you're unattainable because you're attractive. It could be because you put on a tough exterior or that you seem snobby or uppity. I'm not saying that's true, it is just a possibility.
I hope this doesn't insult your intelligence, or seem cliche but I really hope know you truly are unique and special. Not because of how you look but because of who you are. I hope you will find someone that loves you for you.

Nope no insult here. The one where he commented about me thinking I was a superstar, it could have been a combination of my outfit (sequin dress) and me overall. I know he was behind a wooden fence at this restaurant/bar I was at.
I personally don't think male comments online ever count unless you somewhat know them because most of them just want nudes, but when other women themselves on g@g tell me that I'm "fishing for compliments on my looks" even though it's just my face up in the profile pic and nothing else, and also being told how I am trying to gain people's sympathy by openly sharing about colorism and self-esteem issues... Yeah that's actually a pretty big validation in my book.
In my personal experience, I never received any favors (actually, had to work a lot harder than most people, and often get bitter comments). I don't consider myself pretty nor ugly and the majority of men are not in line to ask me out. Having said that, I also turned heads of very, very handsome men in the past.
So I suppose we have to rely on others to tell if we are attractive or not. But is important to look in the mirror and like what we see, always. I would get that higher on the list. For any race.
White women are considered the standard in the west because white women are most common in the west. White women do not, however, have a monopoly on beauty. (I could easily list gorgeous women of various ethnicities.) as for what makes a woman attractive? Symmetry is universally considered attractive - the more symmetrical the right & left side of the face (& body are), the more attractive someone is considered. That is especially true in the west if the person is slim. Large, alluring eves; plump, pouty lips; long, luxurious hair; and a shapely figure are all considered attractive - the more of those desirable features you have, the more desirable (attractive) you are. (If that's you in the middle photos, you are gorgeous! Stop worrying! Only racists will consider you unattractive.)

When you lie on your back your dog jumps on you and uncontrollable licks your face. 3. Your dog follows you everywhere even when you take a crap
I think the best way to look at it is to remember attractiveness or beauty isn't a dead set objective thing. It's subjective.
I've had people call me pretty, I've had people call me ugly as well. I don't really consider myself to be attractive or unattractive I'm just me. People will perceive my looks as whatever, I can't control that, so I don't focus on that and I focus on other stuff.
Beauty is subjective. That's why some people may find you attractive and some may not, and there's not scale or measurement for beauty since it depends on the person and him/her point of view. If no one have ask u out yet just be patient someone will eventually come.
Well I want to start by saying you are extremely beautiful. Second I disagree that white women are the standard of beauty. I think if there was a survey taken say that Beyonce is the most beautiful. Maybe the culture is different where you are from, but to me it sounds like you are reaching

I'm going based off what I see in the media in America. When you articles online about the most beautiful women or features, etc it's always a white woman. People generally see them as the standard for some reason
No worries, I’ve been in that situation before. A lot of people compliment my appearance. However, I’ve encountered people that try to talk bad about me for no reason (even if I don’t know them) or some people will tell me that I act like I’m all that, even though I think that no one is better than anyone. Eventually, I learned to ignore the negative comments

YOU don't gauge how attractive you are. Others do. But hey, it doesn't matter. Because when other people say what they think of you, it's called a compliment or an opinion. If you think you are attractive then it's fine, you're good
