From the FAQ at https://www.acrartex.com/products/resqlink-plb
Q: What do PLBs do?
Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) are distress radio beacons which transmit location information about individuals directly to Search and Rescue forces letting them know that the owner is in grave and imminent danger.
Q: When do you use a Beacon?
Most Search-and-Rescue (SAR) organizations instruct that beacons are satellite signaling devices of last resort, for use when all other means of self-rescue have been exhausted, where the situation is grave with imminent danger and the loss of life, limb, eyesight or valuable property will occur without assistance.
Coins, comfy blanket emergency blanket, photocopies of your ID, a gas can with gas, an extra (charged) car battery that fits your car cause if you just bring jumper cables your relying on someone else to be a decent person and unfortunately thats just not todays world, cash preferably in a safe with a gun and ammo clip next to it (separate as in most places its illegal to carry a loaded firearm. Specifically a loaded one). And i know this last one will be controversal and oversaud but a baseball vat AND baseball glove. Keep them next to eachother for liability say its for practice when asked, but keep the bat sonewhere reachable from the drivers seat in case of carjackings or such

Backpack preferably ultralight and waterproof, you can also get a rain cover for it.
Incase you need to walk somewhere or have to camp the night incase of breaking down somewhere, And a waterproof poncho or warm waterproof jacket incase it rains or cold weather, and gloves or winter hat/earmuffs in the winter.
Headlamp or Flashlights, First Aid kit, Road flares or Flare gun, Tool kit, Bivvy (emergency sleeping bags) Water filter, Fire starter or if you have a lighter, Vaseline, cotton balls and foil (easy fire) and emergency food kit.
An empty gas can could be helpful if you run out of gas and you're nearby a busy area with gas stations. Car battery cables are a must too!
Best thing to have is Dry foods such as MRE, granola bars, nuts or things that have a high shelf life and low spoil rate.
Pretty soon winter will be here and it snows and if you're anywhere up in the hills or anything like that or where people don't go I always have a blanket or survival kit water lighter matches candy bars extra things for my vehicle in case something happened to it I can always get it going again the one thing I don't have is a girl I think I need a girl to be my car LOL
Hammer or something else to break glass. Flipped upside down in a creek where I used to live because I've had formed on the bridge, doors had electronic locks and my mom broke her hand trying to break the glass and get us out. Thankfully someone was able to get the door open from the outside
Bella I would say a flashlight, gloves (for changing a tire), water (even though it won't stay cold in warm weather months), a pen and a note pad for writing down information if you're in an accident, and of course your car's registration and proof of insurance. But not latex condoms in the warm weather months because the heat will damage them! Lol.
