There were times working as a hospital RN that I felt appreciated but also expendable. My friends, co-workers, family and even my patients were appreciative and supportive. At work though I felt like administrators were appreciative of us to a point. They may have well have said "will do what we can to keep you safe, until we can't, and so good luck with that." I'm a little bitter though because I witnessed some of our health system administrators tell bold faced lies to the public and we all knew it and we all knew we'd be fired if we dared speak up.
@Levin Well when there was the fear that there was not enough personal protective equipment two of our health system administrators said that we had plenty but actually we didn't we were reusing things like N95s. The CDC approved the reuse when it was due to necessity and we felt that the aministrators should have just admitted that we were reusing it according to guidelines but they denied two of them denied that our facilities were doing that. One nurse who spoke to the press about our situation was given a firm warning not to talk to press with the health systems permission the future if she wanted to keep her job.
*without their permission* yeah they have rules about that as well nurses cannot talk to the press without prior approval from the public relations department.
It has taught me the importance of focusing on my own physical and mental health. It reaffirmed the fact that i hate being alone. I'm happier when I'm around people or when I'm connecting with people whether its in person or via technology.

Humanity will kill each other over a piece of paper. No matter if it's on your face in public, in your pocket at the check point or locked away behind museum glass. If that doesn't work they will happily make sure you die in poverty.
It has taught me that being a shut-in is a good thing
It's taught me how fragile our economy really was even though it was shattering records and everything was dirt cheap that even I as a pizza delivery driver at the time making at most $400 per week could easily afford just about anything I wanted or needed and still with thousands of dollars in the bank.
All of that blew away so quickly when the pandemic hit and everything I knew in 2018-2019 disappeared. Prices continue to get worse and my money is quickly becoming worthless due to a record 7.5% inflation in a single month compared to an average of 1% in the preceeding years.
Gas went from being $1.57 per gallon by me in 2019 to $3.80 now, increased by 40 cents in a single day recently and a 2,200 Sq foot HOUSE with utilities included, no HOA fees, and no additional taxes being $400 per month and now in the same area, there isn't a house available for less than $2,000 per month and HOA fees with it, with the cheapest APARTMENT being $1,200 for a 500 square feet apartment.
Things were looking so great, homelessness was so foreign in the place I moved to but every day since the pandemic hit, i see a new person panhandling, tents everywhere and people laying on the concrete in the overpass.
All for a virus that was unavoidable and by all means we should've continued business as usual and accepted the fact that we'd all become one of two people, people who test positive and people who have it but haven't been tested. The economy took a nose dive like nothing else in history and it shows such a strong need for us to be independent of any other country, every single thing sold in this country should've been grown here using materials only from the US, so this can never happen again.
Politicians have way too much power and we're all feeling the effects of what they did, while they gaslight us by lying about prices and telling us right to our face that it's all in our head but we all remember when we didn't have to worry so much about our bank accounts because everything we needed was so cheap and available and now we have to pay 10-15× the price for what we need.
I've learned that people are far, far, FAR dumber and easier to manipulate and control than I had ever previously thought, which surprised even me. Within two years, you've got major rights being taken away in Western countries around the world (the worst being Australia and England), people advocating for fascism via vax mandates, and Canada turning into Communist China just within the past two months. This shatters what I previously thought about people being dumb, sheep, and very easy to control.
I always knew that at least a small part of the population, like maybe 5% (the progressives, mostly), would happily go along with any form of tyranny and government abuse and control. But not something like 50%+ of the population! All you got to do to create 1984 is tell people they'll die if they don't get vaccinated? It was really THAT simple for the West to go totalitarian?
At the very least, for every thousand easily-controlled fools and idiots, there's still at least 100 Canadian Convoy truckers out there. And now with the Russian-Ukrainian war, we're seeing even woke countries like Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland grow a pair of balls. Humans really are the most surprising species in the Milky Way.
I hope I don't end up triggering off a trolling type of an argument of any kind,... but my thoughts in relations to this are the highest parts of all governments, including foreign governments, they can control you and do whatever the hell they want to you regardless if you approve of what they are doing to you is right or not.
And the pathetic bullshit part out of all of this is,... there's not a damn thing you can do about it. Well I'm sure there is, but it just feels like you can't.
There is doing a shit or a fuck ton of protesting which that will take a long ass time to change things.
And shoving a needle down your throat without your consent? It's like "You have 2 choices. you take the shot,... you can live a happier life. You don't, you live on the streets. Plain and simple".
You might as well just say "If you take the shot,... you can be part of a safe and secured type of society. You get your freedom and life back. If not" looks at the armed special forces "Execute order 66".
It taught me soooo much. It taught me not to take life so seriously,
people who are higher in power don’t really care that much about you/ they’re not that intelligent or they lack humility.
I learned a lot about myself and what I actually want to do.
People in my life (family/friends) shown their true colors during times I needed them most
Don’t rely on one source of income!!
Learning basic survival skills..(directions w/o gps, gardening, hunting
Being present
Enjoy my alone time/ solitude
the importance of time and valuing it
Death doesn’t discriminate
Never stop telling your loved ones that you love them
I picked up the phone more (no choice lol)
This pandemic has been eye opening in many ways
I learned that social engineering really works and people will spas out a without doing any type analysis on their own. People are truly sheep.
Other than that nothing changed for me. I still did all things I have always done... with the exception of being forced to cater to other peoples insecurities without any real scene of logic to it.
I guess what changed the most for me, is that I no longer believe America is not truly free, with the first had experience in knowing civil liberties are first causality of panic.
i kind of knew that before the pandemic. but the pandemic has made me so blatantly aware that: you can neither trust the media, nor politics. you can still trust science but you gotta do your own work and can't trust the sources that are presented to you. cause everyone that presents you sources has their own interest in what choices they are gonna show you. they want to build your opinion, cause they benefit from that.
so i have learned: make your own opinion based on your own research. it is difficult, cause you will end up having an opinion that a majority of people don't share. but at least you know what the fuck you're talking about and you know that your opinion doesn't come from someone else that profits from you having that opinion.
oh and also: you can not trust google, twitter, facebook or any of those sauces for shit. the only way to find "good information" is to google up relevant scientific journals and universities. you gotta go search those sites then individually, cause anything that's critical to corona measures or the vaccines (the most profitable busines that there currently is on the planet) will be pushed far down in the results on any online platform, cause there' a lot of money lost with you seeing information that might make you rethink a decision to go get the jab.

The only thing the Pandemic taught me that it ruined a lot of people's lives including mines. My girlfriend left me hypocritically, I realize the pandemic is never going to restore people's lives, and no matter how many pandemic cures they make nothing is going to go back to being the same. So this is what Armageddon feels like then I've learned to live with it.
I always tell people they got 2 options on how they should live with this pandemic around:
1. Get used to the protocol, sanitizing, stay in 6 ft apart from everybody, get vaccinated, and learn how to live with it.
2. Kill yourself. That's the second option if nobody cannot deal with the pandemic pain that's never going away.
I think recommending suicidal behavior isn’t the right thing.
It taught me how utterly stupid most people are , how they just blindly follow very poor advice (s) rather than taking personal responsibility for their own health , believing that they can simply eat utter sht , not exercise , put on a lockdown and a mask and all will be okey , well no - its NOT okey , its up to you , and nothing in more important than your health.
But to generally BLINDLY just accept the reaction of governments was beyond ludicrous , detrimental actions that destroyed lives.
It showed me the general person is stupid , far too easy to follow , and simple to manipulate , what a joke this entire reaction has been !
SUPERSIZE ME , and yeah , extra frys - NO ! personal responsibility.
I've learned that we're fucked. The political response has ruined more lives than the virus and evidence shows that it probably helped the virus along. Rules were imposed on a general population that should've been reserved for those it actually threatened (elderly, underlying conditions, obesity). That Twitter and cable news, control the bulk of the masses... so well that they conviced a general population to believe a Orange man was colluding with Russia, and to vote in the man that actually was. Yeah we're fucked.
How ridiculous people will act in the face of logic and evidence exclusively due to their own fear. Some people are finally doing their apology tours because of how they treated people they didn't feel took the pandemic seriously enough
Thankfully no one that matters to me got that way. But friends of mine had family that disinvited then from Christmas and shit for thr first time in their life purely because of nonsense.
The more it turns out most people who didn't take it seriously were right that it wasn't as bad as the media said the more embarrassed they feel for how they acted.
Acting the fool because you think you're right is one thing. Acting the fool and realizing you were wrong is another thing
That I just wasted a few years in my life and vaccines do not work, and masks don't work I am fully vaccinated and I still got covid really badly. And I had the original covid. And when I got it for the second time it was no better. My symptoms were exactly the same
It taught me just how ignorant so much of the public population is after seeing the defiance of the vaccine and the wearing of masks. It has shown me how the Republican party is lost and full of liar's, cowards, and scum with their elected officials who are so afraid to stand up against that bumbling clown trump and rebuild the party to the respect it once held.
@katiesmuff you lefties still have to blame Trump and the Republican party FOR EVERY FRICKEN THING! Get over it! You didn't invent bashing Trump for everything, so get off your high horse and look at the idiots you voted for. Biden ha s blood on his hands. Lots of people died trying to get out of Afghanistan that are still there along with our dead people 🇺🇸. And your perfect little Biden loves murdering unborn babies. He is Catholic and Catholics are dead set against abortion, but Biden is for it. He will do anything for the votes, even leave his religion behind.
@sage2021 Well MISS PISSY PANTS first of all I have always been a republican as has my entire family but that GOON and the Cowards in office that followed him are not TRUE Republicans. Trump actually went into office with great ideas, shame he didn't stick with just that instead of falling off the deep end. And I did not vote for that bumbling bunch that is in office presently. I am and always will be PRO CHOICE for WOMEN!
the pandemic was harmless. a study by john hopkins medical school found that our response to the pandemic killed more people AND increased the spread of the pandemic
int he end. the republicans were right to not comply health.wusf.usf.edu/.../a-johns-hopkins-study-says-ill-founded-lockdowns-did-little-to-limit-covid-deaths
@007kingifrit Didn't say the pandemic harmless as we all know better than that, but actually said it is unlikely many lives were saved by the lockdowns you stupid ass. Of course anyone who reads a online newspaper run by a blubbering bald South Florida Redneck with his head up Trumps ass should realize there must be a reason why ultra conservative news stations aren't running with this useless news.
the online newspaper linked to and talked about a real study from jon hopkins medical school... don't respond to the messenger. respond to the study.
@katiesmuff so lockdowns didn't work, and they killed more people. That's a pretty significant failure of public policy.
@007kingifrit ironically so far all the recent cases are from people who have actually gotten vaccinated but of course NOW is when the news decides to shut the fuck up about it. and isn't it ironic how the states who are the most compliant have been having the most cases?
@CasaNorba what bothers me is uneducated people like @katiesmuff continue to think that lockdowns and masks made a difference when the evidence has been plainly given to them
it was all a show, extra protection for it's own sake. not because it worked... but to make us feel safe
@007kingifrit people like that enraged me just as much as they enrage you but oh well I've learned the hard way to just have patience and accept that they're humans too; as hard as it is to believe.
also remember that it is the naive and misinformed sheep that always end up getting killed in the slaughter house while the big bad wolves like you and I roam around free, independently and at peace
@katiesmuff Saying you're a republican only to continue rant about republicans is like a racist throwing racial slurs at black people and then say it's okay because they have black friends. I felt my braincells melt from just reading your comments.
@TruthBringer There are millions of republican's like me who got duped 6 years ago thinking that even though he was a loudmouth liar, he still might be able to start moving us in the right direction. We didn't realize at the time that trump was actually insane and a total dufus. Republican's like Reagan, Eisenhower. Bush Sr are what this party is really about. Certainly not these far right white supremist racist rednecks who follow the bumbling trump and I would have to assume you are one of them.
@sage2021 First of all don't ever accuse me of voting for Biden, I wrote in Mike Pence for President as he is the style Republican we need to lead us in the right direction. One who would continue to follow up on the good ideas trump came into office with, but lost his way. I also believe in woman's rights, but that doesn't mean I condone abortion however it has to be the woman's choice not the government or bible busting redneck hillbilly like you appear to be.
trump did everything right. any problems you have with him are born from you not knowing how to watch the news properly
@007kingifrit All that really matters is that he is no longer the President and I honestly do not believe when the time comes he will not be running in 2024. He is all mouth and bullshit. If you and CasaNorba and sage2021 are such great patriots and Republicans put all that energy along with millions of others attempting to get a great candidate that can take the White House back and we can be that strong and prosperous country we once were and that requires some compromise from all of us.
"put all that energy along with millions of others attempting to get a great candidate that can take the White House back and we can be that strong and prosperous country we once were and that requires some compromise from all of us."
@katiesmuff from 2017 till 2021 if you would of disregard the news calling Trump a racist, BLM not shutting up about George Floyd, the global elites like Fauci and Bill Gates orchestrating the pandemic to force fear in us all you would of realized by then that that is exactly who Trump was. apparently you are too gullible to ever realize it, but hopefully you will eat those words in 2024, not because I want to proof you wrong but because I agree with you on the fact that we need a great candidate to take the house back and stop maniac Joe Biden once and for all.
https://imgur.com/AxbsWg9
@katiesmuff why is it good he isn't president? there were more covid deaths in 2021 than in 2020, gas prices are skyrocketing, and putin has invaded ukraine
none of this would happen under trump
@007kingifrit Yup I'd bet your 100% right and so glad now to have met the worlds greatest KNOW-IT-ALL! We have absolutely no fucking idea what would be happening now had trumpie won that election.
@007kingifrit you forgot to mentioned Afghanistan losing revolting and the economy being right now being worst than when Bush was president.
regardless judging by the tone of her response you still hit her where it hurts the most
@katiesmuff we do know. we can look at history and see what happens when weak men are leaders. others will start wars... because they can
Some people are more stupid and paranoid and anti science than I would ever have believed.
They are willing to die for their ignorance and have demonstrated they don't give a shit about the people around them either.
Therefore we as a species will never solve an existential crisis like climate change. We have been too tolerant of their stupidity and they now represent an actual threat to society.
Maybe it's time to make their stupid small minded paranoid conspiratorial delusions a reality and wipe them out for real.
I hope you are volunteering cleaning up the billions in dollars in pollution and damage the masks are having on our ecosystems and environment. Stop being a selfish person. Start riding your bike. Stop using toilet paper. Stop using electronics. Stop breathing oxygen. Save your planet.
@GlassTop What a bullshit argument. Most destruction is caused by a few sources, but sure, let's pretend it's people and fixing it is up to them... Fucking idiot.
@GlassTop That level of stupid must impact your day to day life.
It taught me not to ever get jabbed with a vaccine ever again. I have long term medical conditions ever since I got the second shot. Several people in my apartment building that had the shots the same time I did are sick and we never regained the health we had prior to getting that damn vaccine. I feel fatigued and sick everyday now and always will. 🤬
I will never get that vaccine. I don't trust it one little bit
FDA just released a paper with 1200 side effects of on of the vaccines…
@VanillaSalt hi! Do you know how I can find that paper? 1200 huh. No wonder I am sick 🤢
I don't know the paper itself but here…
https://youtu.be/Rqc0zqe0dVw
That Governments lie, lie and lie and tell you what they you to hear and flip flop every other day. Then they put a doctor in charge who during the AIDS problem murdered thousands of people with his backing of the drug AZT and has now murdered hundreds of thousands more with his lies. OH! By the way in reviewing the paperwork for use of drugs against Covid19 the first 38 pages were about dangerous reactions and side effect, but we didn't hear anything about them just take the drugs because we know better than the doctors about what's good for you
were very fragile beings with a finite time here, live your life, respect others including nature and animals, make the best decisions you can. This is a life on lease.
Poetic and accurate
stay home.
wfm,
don't go to parties and infect everyone else.
wear a mask where ever you go
(It didn't affect my life or planned trajectory)
by the way I hate getting into quarantine or isolation hotels (u get the worst food)
unfortunate for most, i understand
Life has not changed to any significant degree, though it has cemented the notion that my grandparents were right in keeping 3 months worth of food in the larder 'Just in case', and after the last two years I might even extend that to 6 months worth of food in the larder again, just in case.
The toilet paper episode showed how many people are like lemmings.
Its a non-essential product that has a good supply reliability but people started hoarding it anyway just because they saw other people do it.
Heck hoarding candles would have been more reasonable.
-I dont like people💀💀💀🤣
-I dont have patience for children
-how to save money
-cooking is fun

-dont feel guilty for giving yourself a break. Netflix and chill is needed
Thanks girly fr it felt so good this weekend to have 3 days off
That if there was a zombie apocalypse we would have deniers, bite hiders and people purposefully trying to get bit
Don’t forget that when you take the vaccine, you need to wear your mask so you don’t infect others. Because even the you are immune to the zombie virus, you can still spread the zombie virus. You are also not immune to the zombie virus because the vaccine only helps with some symptoms. You can still become a zombie after getting the vaccine. So it’s best for you to get the vaccine every 2 months to prevent zombie infection. The vaccine also has a chance to kill you and turn you into a zombie. But it’s better than not taking the vaccine! Even though it’s almost impossible for children to become zombies, it’s better to give them the vaccine. Some may become zombies, but at least your grandparents may not become a zombie from their grand children. I know it seems like most people who become zombies are fat, diabetic alcoholic and drug addicts, but that’s only 99.9% of zombies. By the way, Trump started the Zombie virus by being racist towards China, and that’s why China made the zombie virus because Trump was racist against zombies. Zombies are people too and we should respect their gender and pronouns and we should also feed them because if we don’t, that would be zombiephobic!
It taught me that the world would have been much better off if we ignored the China Virus, and we actually caused way more damage to the world than helped it by panicking and going crazy. I also learned that the government used Covid as a tool to control the masses, and they expect you to do as they say, not as they do. I also learned that people are sheep, and the government can lie straight to their face and change the rules whenever they want, and people will still believe it.
It has proved to me that people are far more selfish than I first thought.
I agree
The people in charge are wholly evil and clowns. They should be disregarded at all levels. Become ungovernable. And that over half the population are sheep and will do anything their masters tell them.
I learned that humans can not come together and that most people are stupid enough to believe anything they read on the Internet.
Also, have you heard of Beach Bounce? it's a Google Play game that will give you X-ray vision and a huge dong if you play long enough.
I've learned the government doesn't give a shit about society or businesses. That world leaders (presidents, prime ministers, etc) go on television and give dishonest answers that go against their agendas and ideologies. To fend for yourself, to save your money because we don't know when the next big crash is coming, to grow your own food, to try and help others.
My boss don't give a fuk about me. And there's a better way to be happy and finanically happy.
I worked through it as a railroad conductor. The only thing I noticed was that people will disregard others health for political reasons. It was strange. alternatively people will really freak out over illnesses, I mean I took it seriously but some people really freaked out.
That masks are useless and we're only buying them to fill somebody's pockets. I caught COVID-19 in September despite the mask. Now I'm only wearing it because my country is ran by braindead imbeciles who made it mandatory, whether you have antibodies or not.
It has taught me to never again trust the mainstream media. It has taught me that politicians will use literally any lame excuse to accrue more power for themselves at the expense of the rest of us, and it has taught me that scientists can just as easily be manipulated and corrupted as anyone else; their vaunted "objectivity" is largely mythical.
I learned that people are too quick to believe conspiracy theories and miss information, and that a lot of people would rather risk the life’s of their friend family and community than wear a mask.
@Jaysonava which authorities?
@Juxtapose that statement was retracted
this pandemic didn't really teach me anything... just made me even more of an introvert irl and made me more uncomfortable around people lol.
The pandemic has taught me that work and career are not that important, and allowed me the opportunity to retire, which I did.
The government is crooked, the healthcare system only cares about money, and there's really more junkies than I thought.
Some of the dumbest things about the pandemic:
1. People will go nuts over toilet paper. I remember people stealing toilet paper from bathrooms in local gyms, grocery stores, etc. Stupid.
2. Sick people see a crisis as opportunity. There was billions of dollars in fraud (people getting loan money for fake businesses)
3. Equally sick politicians used the pandemic as an opportunity to push though legislation that nothing to with covid 19
A lot of the times, there will be situations over which you have no control. How you respond to that will determine your mental health.
No technology can replace human contact (fuck you long distance relationships)
That there are a lot of stupid people out who there who chase conspiracy theories, are inconsiderate of others, unwilling to do what needs done to get us past this, and even turn mask wearing into a political issue.
to never trust democrats and leftists ever again!
That the low hanging fruit to helping cut pollution is working from home, despite the fact the politicians and businesses seem to ignore that.
That people would rather risk the lives of others than suffer a miner inconvenience.
The pandemic taught me that as bad as things are they can always be worse.
That we're doomed and the idea that humanity would work together in the face of a threat is absolutely destroyed and that 'the least I can do' is still too much for a lot of people.
That people really hoard toilet paper and other things😐 I literally remember having to drive 40 minutes away for some paper towels because they were sold out EVERYWHERE.
⚠️Any of us could die , even with this war.
Secure your eternal life by knowing what Christ did on the cross , repenting to be saved ⚠️
I learned that as an introvert, I can pretty much survive anything.
The pandemic has taught and showed me how weak this world has become, even to this day people are still wearing masks and carrying hand sanitizer with them. We didn't have this happen when things like Ebola or Swine Flu came so why are we doing it now? Why are people starting to care about this kind of stuff now? What drove society to be self aware of their own safety and the safety of others? It just makes society look pretty selfish in my view.
The planned-demic has shown me that there are several ways that the NewWorldOrder BeastSystem wants to use to kill-off a substantial portion of the world's population.
Even the things they want to use to supposedly HELP us, are actually designed to help KILL us.
It's better to work from home than at the office. Society is full of 🐑. Who follows anything without questioning it.
Money matters the most in life. You are on your own when it counts.
But then also, you got to keep a sweet tongue with everyone.
I saw this coming and I was told I am crazy and conspiracy nut.
Now who's laughing.
You don't want to know what comes next.
If you do. Look it up for yourself
People do not care about you in the slightest, and if you are a man... your mental health is a joke. Take what you need and fight for yourself... every day is fight or flight and you have to push empathy aside if you want to make it anywhere.
Nothing I didn't already know.
People today have a pretention of civility and freedom. Take it away, and they are mostly feral animals.
Simply underpinned & magnified my views on how gullible & easy to manipulate most people are. Increasing my already present dislike of people in general.
Taught me that I really hate wearing those stupid masks, especially while working out 💪. Also being away from people can be less stressful, especially working with certain people.
Life is short not to put off for tomorrow especially what you wanna do.
It taught me just how divisive people really are... it also taught me that life can be taken away from you at any given moment... and you should appreciate the things you already have before complaining about what you don't have.
That no means no, consent is important even in terms of vaccine
People are fucking stupid cowards that are better off dead -.-
