Country.
I grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles not far from the ocean. There are lots of world class attractions, things to do, and a wide variety of ethnic restaurants in big cities. I don't like the traffic, though, and I am not a fan of noise and neon signs. Commercialism/consumerism isn't my thing.
When traveling, I've always loved rural areas - farms, farm stands, old barns, wooden church steeples, antiques.
My wife and I moved to a beautiful rural area on 30 acres of oak grassland in 2002. Our land and views are amazing. I LOVE it! The weather is great, too. We're just below the snow line. We have a small orchard with a variety of fruit trees including citrus, as well as a garden with bushes, trees, flowers, herbs and veggies.
There are deer and wild birds (including turkey and quail) and animals on our property. There are rivers, lakes and wetlands in the area. There are things to do as well as goods and services very nearby. There are ranches, organic farms, fresh eggs, meat and produce.
There is a charming, historic city and beautiful county fairground full of top quality entertainment, events and activities 20 minutes away in the mountains. There are other small cities within 25 to 40 minutes away in different directions. So there's a wide variety of entertainment and fun activities, things that reflect the early days of California, as well as restaurants and big box stores nearby. We are also within an hour of Sacramento and the Sacramento airport, and 2.5 - 3 hours (depending on traffic) from San Francisco and the coast.
I love the country as long as I have access to cities.

country?
I was born in the country but my mum hated the people there and changed our whole lives to live in the city for 14 year where she complained about everything. And me, my brother and my dad kinda feel like a big part of our lives had been stolen from us so we moved back to the country where my mother would now always talk about how she loves the country and her dream was to always live in the country.
So long story short I love the country if I could live there without my lying manipulating so called mother.

I'm a country girl but I like going to the city too so somewhere in between
The country. We grew up on the back 40 playing with the chickens and the cows we ran through so many trees having so much fun eating huckleberries and running in the Creeks. In the winter everybody would get together and we pull to behind a truck with the rope and giveโer. Weโd have bonfires and cook potatoes and boil marshmallows with a stick. Nobody ever got mad nobody ever got hurt we all help each other no matter what unconditionally. Currently I live in the city and I find it a horrible place it is nothing like home and I do not relate with these people and somehow they are all happy 🤷โโ๏ธ
Country 🥰... I grew up in the country so I'm used to it. It's more quite, more clean. The people are really nice. I believe it's more safe in more ways than one. There is a lot more space and Food is way healthier.
City life is crazy and the people are very mean and rude. I don't like it 😕I live in the country now, I have a job where I can save a lot of money so I can go back to the city to study.
The country is only good if you have access to a car, and more importantly you have friends and family there, otherwise it's pretty lonely and very inconvenient if you have an illness that requires you to go to the hospital, or some official things, takes a day trip.
My ideal way would be to live in the city, and go to nature at the weekend.Iโve moved around a lot, the majority of air bases are rural or within say 10 miles of a large town or city.
when I left I moved to Near Birmingham to a more suburban location.
then in 2020 I moved up to Northumberland and love it.
very rural, close to beach, deer, foxes, seals and dolphins in the sea (well not the forest lol)I prefer the country I don't have the stress of community and in that commute fighting with the traffic and we're all going to the same direction our individual work places.
In the country I can get up and see the sunrise here are the beauty of the birds a singing. Seeing wildlife going through your garden 🏡 having a garden and eating from it.City
I currently live in a downtown area. Tall buildings yes but not very many. Busy road I live on with many shops and restaurant nearby. But what makes it better is proximity to the mountains and nature with thousands of trails. Itโs just a 20 minute walk away, through a neat neighborhoodCity I love the city lights and I am so happy you put exactly that. Different lights, but still lights! Hearing club music closeby, everything is so closeby!
The country for sure, but also the city because of the availability of all kinds of confort... I guess that's why the first cities were created. The difference between beauty, and the practical side of an environment.
Iโve lived in the city most of my life but I think I am going to try the country for a bit. Maybe I can give you a more precise answer in a few years lol.
you?I grew up in the city but I think I want to grow old in a country home. Too much crime! But I get paranoid in the country bc who knows if there's another Ed Gein lurking..
I currently reside in the suburbs but the country is where I want to be. Space, air, quiet, a night sky not spoiled by city lights, yes please. I cannot STAND cities. I feel like I'm suffocating between the buildings and all the stupid people.
City is great for modern facilities.
Country side is great for a peaceful life.
I would like my home to be 5 blocks away from the neighborhood as I want silence. The country but not in isolation. I need to have access to things like stores, the doctors and a hospital nearby.
I like the best of both worlds. Meaning I like both equally.
I would hate to live in the city. I didn't even like to work thare. I would take the country
I prefer countryside but due to financial reasons I have to stay in huge city. I don't like it but I stay indoors all the time so it don't matter much.
Country all the way. I love the quiet, the nature and some wild animals. I feel much better on the country side.
What about you?City.
I used answer this question by saying country and it was a no brainer at a time. But with the recent changes in my life I realised my destiny is in a city, not in a lonely countryside.City. The lights, the amenities, the people, the history... A lot more interesting to visit a city than the countryside.
