What's an animal that has a bad but undeserved reputation?

In my opinion, Dobermann Pinschers.
I own two and many people ask me if I'm not afraid of them, if they won't go crazy because their brain will push against the skull (a false myth), and that the breed as a whole should be "illegal".
I have not seen that with my dogs - unlike the stereotype, they are extremely friendly. The female one can be quite shy and a bit unsettling at first because she will stare at you in silence if she doesn't know you well, but if you are patient she'll approach you and let herself to be pet. The male one is much more outgoing but also kind of a hassler - he'll whine and bark at you if he thinks you are ignoring him.

many small dogs and especially chihuahuas. people get them and think they don't have to train them, because they're so small and cute, but many small dog breeds are extremely intelligent and will do whatever they want if they don't have good handlers.

Spiders. Yeah, they're freaky looking, and a few are genuinely dangerous, but things they protect us from are far, far worse. Plus, their webbing has a tensile strength higher than any other natural material known to man, which has some VERY interesting indestrial applications, if we can figure out how to farm it an economic scale.

Black Cats, I guess. They're said to be bad luck and evil.

Doberman Pinschers are not a loyal animal. I've seen him turn on their masters. My father loved his dog. Once when I was a child turned on my father. The other one was a neighbor down the road the dog attacked it's owner.
