It seems that all people care nowadays, is looks.. I mean people always cared about looks and women cared about looking good, but nowadays this has become worse. There are tons of online forums, social media apps like Instagram/Tik Tok/YouTube where people ask questions and make posts that are related to beauty/looks and Gag too...
Yes for sure.
Imagine coming to a house full of pictures where mainly the owner is on. 40 years ago that would be called a narcissist or egoist maybe also a maniac.
Today we call that instagram and the maniac is often the person that hasn´t such thing.
Speaking from own experience I think many people get less social and more social awkward through all the screen time because it gets harder to keep a conversation going hence the moment a phone rings people feel a need to answer it no matter where they are.
It even gets so far that people fear they get left out if it doesn´t ring or shows no notification.

Absolutely. Social media has been a huge factor in that. It's all about the "Look at me! Look at me! culture."

No, people are not more vain. At least, not within the last decade or so. But there are definitely more social media platforms that encourage vain attitudes and reward people who them on display. People nowadays are in love with validation. The more likes/engagement you get, the more you feel good. It's like a drug. But like any drug, eventually the novelty wears off and you have to do more to get that hit. So people nowadays have to post the most ridiculous things in order to get views and likes (see tiktok) in order to feel good. And the more they do it, the more narcissistic, conceited, and shallow they become. We basically reward shitty behaviour with our viewership.
What's really funny is a post that asks "What do you love most about yourself" is immediately under your question 😂😂😂
I remember reading some study about this. Apparently they’ve figured out a way to scientifically prove that people are becoming more self absorbed.
Im going to say yes to this, the biggest turn off to me, is when I see a girl defiling herself because she's not beautiful enough. If a guy thinks you're beautiful to a point of wanting intimacy with you that should speak volumes. What counts to me is your sense of confidence. Id rather you make a fool out of yourself on a dance floor and not give a shit what you look like. Society needs to stop manifesting that you're not pretty enough.
No. It’s just become popular to be open about it now. Respect is what is dying.
It feels like it. We are on our second Selfie 🤳 generation ⁉️ Feel like it to you too?
Yes. Its pretty obvious. Social media has made people hollow minded and shallow. Consming the same nonesense everyday over and over again until they got addicted to it. Leaving no interest at all in aquiring real knowledge.
Yes. Online gives people way more options. So they pass up great options, to try and get a better option. Then end up disappointed in the end.
It used happen in past just the means are changing and it's more vissible due to fre social apps that's all people were always shallow if you want it to call being shallow
I don't think it's just looks. I think people read other people like a balance sheet and determine whether they're worth thier time.
I think so look at Instagram
