Have you ever missed an opportunity to tell a good joke?

Have you ever been in a situation where you had the chance to tell a good just, but you either didn't think about it until after the situation had passed or for whatever reason didn't tell it?

When I was in college, I sat in with one of my friends on a history class he was taking on the Napoleonic Wars. That happened to be the day that the professor had some fun and put Napoleon on trial. I was assigned the role of an unnamed Italian soldier. When I was called to the witness stand and asked to state my name for the record, I SHOULD HAVE said, but sadly did not think to say...

I usually think of opportunities to make good jokes. For instance, if someone says “I’ll blow your brains out” as in theyll shoot you, you could say “I effed the brains out of your mom last night, ZINGO”

I never miss the chance to tell a joke, puns and wordplay come second nature to me, however none of them are particularly good jokes.

endlessly! I can normally think of quick one liners but can rarely squeeze a remembered joke into the flow of conversation, also doesn't help I'm a little deaf and can't tell how loudly Im talking!
