What's a phobia you have?

One I had for most of my childhood is fear of the dark, particularly after watching a scary movie recently, I fear uncertainty and felt vulnerable for a long time.

I still to some extent don't like the dark because yeah, not being able to see where I'm stepping isn't exactly preferable but I'm not afraid of it.

Another one is fear of open water for much the same reason I was afraid of the dark and as expected, sharks are a reason as well, despite the odds of being attacked by one being extremely low. I have to conquer that one, still.

One I've had all my life but gotten better with is fear of spiders and anything really with too many legs. While you certainly won't walk in and see me playing with a wolf spider, I'm not terrified of them.

There's also a gross factor because of the eyes and gross exo skeleton bodies that make my skin crawl. Although I'm not petrified as I was as a kid, I get that they are far more petrified of me and for good reason, it has absolutely no response, no way to fight back if I decide to squash it.

Even the ones that are "poisonous" most of their venom is harmless to humans unless they're from foreign nations where their venom does pose a threat to humans. I've also thought about their exoskeleton as a knight in armor which is kind of what their exo skeleton is which helps me get over the gross factor of it.

It helps that many of them kill other bugs and I've had to accept that no matter what I do, there will always be a spider or two living with me, whether I ever see it or not is another story but I guarantee you if any of us looked into our walls, you'd find a spider there.

The only one I'm really struggling with is a house centipede, the 100 legs definitely pushes my "nope" button but I'd definitely squash it. They also kill other bugs but I still don't want it near me.
