A footrace? Probably. An autorace? More likely; their reflexes suck. A slicing-open-fruit-with-your-claws race? I doubt it; my nails are long for a human (not for any decorative reason; I'm just lazy), but they still suck as tools.
A "who can mellow out faster" race? That I doubt. I really, really doubt.
