You have to choose. Beyonce is the poster child for this conundrum. She rolled the dice, and thankfully, her kids are very cute. This might sound vain, but I don't know if some women would to take that chance. It would bother me that I couldn't relate to my child. The child comes home complaining that everyone is picking at them for their looks. What am you supposed to say besides something generic like "It's what's on the inside that counts?" At least they'd have a good life financially.
Some women would feel like who wants a poor dad for their child? They probably wouldn't want their child to be good-looking but have to bear the weight of a poor daddy and look at me sideways like, "Mama, really?"
Regardless of looks, you'd teach them to be good people, but damn. We live in a vain world. It would break your heart to know that you would set your child up for the okey doke and they'll never know what it's like to be handsome or pretty. This sounds fucked up, and I welcome all groans because I've got to learn.
