Honestly people that just think there isn't are uneducated. What when we barely know the entirety of earth.
Besides even in the 1700s and earlier there was reports of things in the sky and you got to be pretty stupid to think that airplanes existed back then

The universe is a very big place. Even if we discovered another populated planet “nearby,” it would be a vast, extremely resource intensive, multi-generational journey to get there. It is hard to imagine a practical means for the inhabitants of any two solar systems to visit each other. Fermi aside, Occam’s razor tells me that I should never expect an object to come from another world.

My “claim” (which is, actually, a proposition) is: The idea that we must choose between alien spacecraft visiting Earth or humanity being alone in the universe is a false dichotomy.

If you don’t want to have a rational conversation, that is OK. But if you do wish to converse, please respond to the proposition at-hand. We can’t achieve any sort of synthesis if we are firing random thoughts in all directions.

I have seen loads of programmes about this and according to scientists, the nearest habitable planets are so far away from us that it would take hundreds of thousands of years to reach them. But there probably is alien life out there.

I answered maybe to this question because it seems impossible there are loads of credible witness accounts of alien abductions and sightings. But the powers that be would have just cause to cover it up, but then again, they may be wanting people to think they are UFOs if they are testing some secret weapon or something.

Habitable to human beings, that doesn't mean that another species is like us. We're carbon-based, if another species is sulfur bases as example Saturn or Mars is a perfectly habitable planet to them but human beings wouldn't last five seconds.

Yes, but I think most UFOs are some electromagnetic phenomena we still didn't discover or human made objects refracted and reflected by atmosphere layers. Alien UFOs, with extraterrestrial crew inside, are rare because they don't want we notice them.

I voted No because I believe that your question pre-supposed that extraterrestrials are on-board and flying these vehicles or perhaps remote-piloting them from orbit (*). I would fully expect that a technology as advanced as theirs would use completely automated spacecraft to do reconnaissance of the Earth.

(*) Furthermore, I do not believe any extraterrestrial spacecraft are in orbit because they would be detected and tracked.

They’re unexplained or unidentified…hence UFO. With stress, O2 levels, etc, lots of things could cause optical illusions or misidentifying phenomena.

Lastly, it took 4.5 billion years for humans to get here. So bacteria is the default life on planets for billions of years. Human intelligence could be a fluke. Either way, chances of two intelligent beings from different planets meeting is insurmountable.
