Is this the common side effect of being lovebombed too much?

I'm currently not interested in starting the whole dating process again. Just hearing the words ''I love you'', ''babe'', my love'', ''sexy'' or the phrase ''I would marry you one day'' is the same reaction if another telemarketer were to call me right now. My mind would likely be screaming ''What's the catch, sex or money?''

I can now say I'm officially immune to any romantic words or love songs attempted on me as a way to win me over. I'm immune to the ''falling in love with your ears'' or even a break-up. I've shut down by now.

Is this the side effect as a result of getting lovebombed too much? Imagine eating too much that you're not hungry anymore and you're sick. That's how I feel with romantic words and gestures (the typical way to win over a woman) by now. It lost any positive effect on me.

Sounds like it would be... I mean once exposed to the idea that it's all just flattery, I would look at it with suspicion.

Like my reaction to salespeople when they give that initial compliment on something to bring my guard down... they're still just trying to get me to buy product. I know it's a tactic. Really difficult to get me to think the compliment is genuine, and my response to it now is, "What the fuck do you want?"

Love bombing from some pick up artist or some narcissist trying to gain control can really start to look pathetic once immune to it... dare I say, disappointing.

So, dudes... If her response to such flattery goes from smiles to resting bitch face... Just don't try that shit again... try telling some jokes instead.

Exactly. I'm so tired of that BS. The sad part to this is those PUA (pick-up artists) and idiotic lovebombing narcissists are making it difficult for the real geunine men out there are after commitment. They throw out all the lines perhaps a genuine man would say before proposing to his girlfriend.
So now I don't believe nor trust anyone and will remain that way unless I get a real proposal from a future boyfriend. Even then, I would make sure it has a wedding date and is spread publicly to my family and friends. That's how I'll know he's for real and no another ''I love you, my love'' idiot.

Yes I feel the same as when you eat too much seafood or whatever meal you like and ended up getting food poisoning.
It was enough that someone tried to scammed me just not so long ago. Someone tried to get money from me but I never gave him any money at all. I had enough already.
In the past, those were gestures and words men that wanted commitment and family would generally say and do. They would then propose, not lovebombed like idiots, giving us with empty promises and more BS.

Indeed. After someone tried to scam me recently (but I never gave any money, I played dumb until exposing him publicly online with the evidence), I thought to myself ''damn, ENOUGH already''.

There was a time long, long ago that real romantic gestures and love declarations was done by genuine men that would actually commit, propose and have kids with us. Nowadays, any fake can pretend to love and make us waste time or idiots saying ''I love you'' for nothing, only to then break-up as soon as there is an argument... only wanting the good part of a relationship and not the rest.
