Is it embarrassing to pay with smaller bills (5s and 1s)?

I’m a server so all my income is from cash tips. So what I do is I deposit bigger bills (10s and up) in my account and then keep all my 5s and 1s as my spending money.
it honestly really helps me to save. Cause then I just use my card for only bills and important expenses.
It keeps me from making unnecessary online purchases.

Someone told me recently that it’s embarrassing to pay for things in 5s and 1s. It’s not like I’m over here handing cashiers $100 worth of ones 😭 I wouldn’t do that to them. But shit if if my total comes out to $50 or less then you’re getting $50 of small bills lmao. Sorryyyy

And even if I did pay for something with $100 worth of 1s and 5s, whatever that’s part of the job of being a cashier Lmao. It’s annoying but it takes no more than a minute to count it.
I’ve had someone pay their $120 bill in all ones before. It’s whatever. You gotta do what you gotta do

I think it’s okay to pay for things using $1.00 bills. It would be different if you bought a computer using $1.00 bills but a $20.00 t shirt would take less than a minute to count the bills. Same with oatmeal or groceries.

Not embarrassing, and if it is primarily a cash business like a liquor store I bet the management if not the cashier really appreciates the extra small bills to make change.
