Is it normal to hate someone so much you wish them dead?

I'm atheist and don't believe in forgiving everyone, esp if they're unremorseful and the damage they did was major.

I really hate my first ex boyfriend. He destroyed me psychologically and ruined my trust in people. If I hear the phrase "I love you", "You're the love of my life," or "I would like marriage (or just the word marriage) one day" from a man, I would get triggered and assume that's another scammer.

I hate him. I wish he got in an accident. I wish him dead. Is this a normal feeling to someone that hurt you badly and you can't ever get those years back?

I had a rage stage of grieving as well.

I wanted him to be hurt in the worst ways possible. Because he hurt me so much.

But isn’t it a good lesson after all?

Someone who you trusted with your heart and life, can sell both.

Betrayal hurts like a hell.

But no pain no gain…

If you keep wishing bad to him, it will not hurt him, he will keep living a great life and you’ll be drowned in your misery and tears.

Get up, dry your tears, look at yourself in the mirror and choose love instead of hatred.

Love of yourself instead of hatred to him.

Don’t waste any more bad energy on anythinf, only happiness, smile and peace must be with you. Take care of yourself and for the sake of your well-being, learn how to forgive and let go.

Everyone experiences anger from time to time but this seems extreme to me but I'm also not one who holds on to angry thoughts.

Holding on to hate requires energy. It will consume you, exhaust you and distract from the positive aspects of your life.

This is too extreme and you are only going to hurt yourself holding on to this.

You need to care for yourself and work your way past this trauma. He might be a bad guy and hopefully is out of your life. Hopefully you can open up again for someone who doesn't betray your trust one day.

He was more than just a bad guy. He was a real narcissist and even sociopath too; a real terrible person. He did that to other women too, faking everything.

It's normal. But you are currently deeply wounded, you are not forgetting the wrongdoing by others and if you hold on these, it will take more time to heal your inner peace.
If you would only love and live for those who truly appreciate, understand and value you, it will get better slowly so have some faith.

What I can't forgive is he nearly destroyed my reproductive years by purposely wasting my time and even collected money from me without ever returning it back. He made it difficult for me to find someone else that wants commitment at a shorter time. After dumping that cruel, narcissist, I got into another relationship but sadly it didn't work out; I had to end it in a year when I found out he didn't really want marriage and was only saying it to make me feel ok in the beginning, another one trying to waste my time.
and now I'm 36, childless and no life partner, no commitment.

As i said before you must repair your insecurities, Find yourself a purpose and you would get better eventually, since you have tried to be in relationship frequently, you must give patience and time to nurture it.
I must say this , you think so much about your past that it's held you back from moving forward and that's a setback you must learn to make your path and get on with improvement.
