WOW! People are coming up with some very interesting and well-thought-out choices. But no one has come up with the answer that we are looking for, which is not an easy one. Let's give another hint... Consider each's capital.

The correct answer we're looking for is Georgia, whose capital is Tbilisi. That's the only capital of the places listed that starts with two consecutive consonants.

There were many well-reasoned answers that deserve partial credit. Unfortunately, none of them picked Georgia.

Turkey is a NATO country, I'm pretty sure none of others are.

At first I thought the relationship was going to be Russia and former Soviet satellite states but there are 2 on that list that were not part of the U. S. S. R.

All words start with two consonants in our language 🤣 I thought of that version but thought it wouldn’t be the answer and Syria felt too out of place to me.

Ukraine is considered in Europe.

Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia are Transcaucasian nations so they could be considered Asian like the other nations (Russia, Syria, Turkey).

To hell with nothing to do with location. I think it is a list of neighboring countries which hope to not be invaded by Russia. Ukraine is the only answer because it IS being invaded by Russia. QED (quite easily done).
