My (f26) sister (f12) believes she's been seeing a character from a Creepypasta called 'Ticky Toby.' She's been telling me for weeks in a row repeatedly about how she spots him in the backyard every night, and that she can hear his voice whisper for her to "join" him while she's asleep, to the point it's become concerning. She said the voice tells her she needs to kill everyone in the house (our mom and stepdad) and burn it down to prove herself "worthy," and I'm glad she came to me about this and hasn't done anything bad yet because this is really fucking serious. She has never shown signs of mental illness until here recently. I told my parents everything even though she didn't want me to because she apparently didn't feel "comfortable" enough for them to know about this, but I had to anyway. We've been discussing on what to do, and the best option we see fit for now is a trip to the psychiatrist. What do you people think?
I would first recommend that she do the meditative process called Chit Shakti gor Peace, to ciltivate peace within. If you want to find hee counselling, I'd recommend finding a psychologist first, and a proper one for her at that. She needs to feel safe talking to someone and not having to prove herself. Better Help might be excellent, since she could find a suitable one quickly, though in-person has its own benefits. Psychiatrists peddle addictive drugs, and having seen both in my life (and very quickly choosing to stop antidepressants at the start of college), I've generally found that psychologists are warmer people. If she's willing, Inner Engineering Online is a wonderful experience for inner wellbeing, to start cultivating joyfulness no matter the situation.

Yeah she needs help. If you reach high school age and you can't separate reality from fiction you need help.
I was 12 and understood creepypasta's are just stories. Sane people can tell the difference so she needs therapy and lots of help to come to what the cause is and what can help her see the difference.
