Will scientists and doctors eventually find a cure one day and either develop a medication that makes you have empathy or a surgery is performed and the brain is correctly wired?
Do you think we will one day find a cure for psychopathy?

It's very much complex and complicated to work with brain biology. Nurons inside brain has no capacity to heal itself if get damaged and whole brain is completely neted with that only. The part of brain which controls our emotions lies in innermost layers of brain so reaching there is going to be tough without damaging neurons. After normal surgery body tissues heal itself but if we do surgery in brain to reach there brain isn't going to heal itself so I don't think it's ever going to happen possible.
Psycho people has problem in brain wiring itself. So no other medications can help it and changing wiring of brain isn't possible so no surgery going to help it either
It's a sad case. It's like those people are better off away from society since they won't stop hurting others or using people.
Its not a brain wiring problem per say. Brains are fairly plastic in that they can assign tasks to different arreas if some secfion of the brain isn't up to par. The issue is that people with less neurons have poorer comprehension skills, and that can cause a lack of empathy, because empathy required understanding.
So you would need to increase the number of neurons they have in their brain.
The highest number of neurons is in artists, so doing so may also make them talented at art while curing sociopathy.
Possible we are making massive steps in understanding the mind but I wouldn't put my money on it being a cure to make people think somewhat normal unless we was able to implant feelings of empathy regret or remorse

We already have a cure. It's called Old Sparky
So basically there is no hope they'll ever be cured and they're better off dead.
It's even tougher if it was an extreme case and the psychopathic, criminal offender is really a 10-11 year-old kid like the James Bulger or Mary Bell cases. The USA has given life sentences on 12 year-olds but hasn't gone below 12.
Since an offender that young isn't getting life nor Old Sparky, that's the only case they're released as adults back into society.
Don't most people not have empathy? Well I've always said that mental health should be taken more seriously. And be paid by insurance or Medicare. If think it's possible. But maybe it isn't profitable or something. So who knows
Being selfish is different from seriously have no empathy at all and actually committing crimes or using people without any remorse; someone that truly feels no guilt
Unlikely. Psychopathy is too profitable so the media will never allow a narrative that suggests curing it is acceptable.
Short of altering their brain their is no such thing as a cure for psychopathy because there is biologically nothing mentally wrong with them.
The cure is 250 grains of lead traveling at 1000 feet per second
Things like crispr (gene editing) will prevent it eventually
Nope I don't think they'll ever find a cure for that
