Why don’t women conduct themselves in interviews like this anymore with such poise?

This is an interview of The Three Degrees in 1975. They were a black female group who were a 70s phenomenon.

She said, "We don't smoke on TV because of the affect it could have on children." To take that kind of stand in the 70s where you could literally smoke ANYWHERE? So many gems in the interview. These were some very educated, conscious women. I missed the times when artists cared about being an example, whether they knew they signed up for the role model job or not.

Why would he ask what a lady looks like? When she said smoking in public doesn't look very ladylike, she IS a lady sitting right before you, sir; the guy interviewing them is very condescending.

Nowadays if you look on the younger black women on the music scene portrayed in today’s interviews some of most of them act all ratchet being in this social media era. What would you say?

How did we lose this level of class, dignity, intelligence and TALENT.
