That map only works if Keir Starmer is living in the White House in London on the Potomac. The British would love that, they get a well-deserved new PM and they get to put the screws to their old American colonies. 😎
Just the southern ones were named after monarchs; the Virginias after Elizabeth I (the virgin queen), the Carolinas after Charles I, and Georgia after George II
You do also have the 'New's as well; New Jersey, New York and New Hampshire
@JennaWillow yes and Maryland was named after Charles the 1st's wife as well. As coastline mileage goes I'd say that's a lot of the eastern seaboard. Besides I'm just attempting to inject a wee bit of levity. I may not always succed but I do try
@JennaWillow very true. Interesting mix of state name origins overall. My native state of Texas has seen six flags over it's history but the name is a Native American derivative. I have soft spot for England though. It's really the only country i've visited extesively outside the US. Nice memories.
No of course I don’t like it. And you know that, but anyway we got our country. We didn’t have to pay your taxes and we dumped your tea in the Boston Harbour so that settles that

It looks great with no Gulf of America on it. Also where is Greenland on it? lol
Very amusing indeed, but I prefer this version:
Sure, why not. No need re-naming the states along the eastern seaboard though as almost all of them are named after English monarchs, so...

I forgot about Maryland! Pennsylvania was also named after William Penn, and Delaware after Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr
So monarchs only some, but Brits the majority of them 😋

Back in those days people imagined a Triple Entente comprised of the U. S., Britain and Japan.

Enjoy your teatime, Poppy I had it too right on your home turf. At the Carlton Ritz in London.
I love old maps. Unfortunately this one is fake lol. Lord Northcliff Gulf sounds better than Gulf of America.
It's fictional but very well presented in the right circles
I'm neutral to it...
Basically it was the land of the red indians...
Will this version be overrun by Muslim rape gangs too... or? Just wanting to know.
that's before the UK government turned into a bunch of cucks and let rape gangs run amok.
What would happen to us handsome black cowboys?
Sure!
Where would we hold all the no kings rallies?
@purplepoppy Much better
