What does that mean when a girl turn her head in the opposite direction when I look at her?

Last year, I was in my Malibu at the red light, and I saw a beautiful girl walking in the sidewalk. When she see me looking at her, she look at the opposite direction (the building) for 5 seconds. So her head rotate from the left to the full right (180°), instead of just looking in front of her.

Does that mean she doesn't like my look, she like it but she's shy/nervous, or she doesn't like when a guy look at her, or else? It happens many time.

I got and get this all the time and it can be annoying because I am a huge, innocent flirt with pretty girls and women of all ages since I enjoy making people happy. It happened that I had horribly low self-esteem and thought I was too ugly or weird because of the bowing heads and looking away thing. (Which is nonsense because groups of girls chased me around the playground as a kid to corner me to practice kissing.) Later, female friends clued me in that I'm fairly crazy hot (which I have to remind myself since I think it's arrogant to being someone is a GGTW when I'm so incredibly imperfect). I learned not to over analyze girls' initial behaviors that tend to be ambiguous anyhow, so it's best to think positive and innocent. Also, girls have the side looks where you can tell because they have a fixed eye gaze to the side but are looking to see if you're looking at them. At that point, I just say "hi. my name is.. where is a local place to eat at that you've tried?" or some other open-ended question.

Even so, I still seek more cool girls with higher self-confidence and courage to make longer gazes because I like badasses who take risks in life, are open to people, and share positive energy and joy. The problem of shy and unassertive people is that they tend to expect mind reading and won't assert their needs in a relationship, which leads to drama; I'd rather be with someone who takes risks to put honesty first over being too nice and quiet to get what they need like myself.

Also, a confident person should just take a risk to be friendly, nurturing, and nonthreatening towards a shy person so they feel welcomed and safe to interact. Don't take it personally if they just walk on by (you can try to get their attention again but let it go if they're really making it clear). And please no pickup lines or physical comments, treat the other as a person, and make them feel good about themselves and the interaction. Leave people better than you found them. You're fairly attractive so it may mean that she's really seeing for herself if you're looking at her.

Most of the time, girls get shy so they tend to look the other way.

The fact that you studied the turn of her head and how many seconds she stared at something and now wondering what it means about you says that you have a big time self esteem issue. There is no way we can tell you what that girl was doing. She was probably very interested in what she was staring at. In fact, she probably didn't even really notice you. People are always in our line of sight, but it doesn't really mean we always notice them.

Trying to figure out what this girl's actions or any other girl is pointless and only wreaks havoc on your self esteem. You'll never really get the answer you want. The thoughts or opinions of others should not completely alter your sense of self. Looks are subjective. Even the most beautiful looking people have haters. If someone doesn't like the way you look, then you keep it going, by searching for someone who does. Unless you look like the hunch. Ack of Notre Dam, I think you will find someone who not only appreciates, but loves your look.

Until then, stop over analyzing situations you really have no control over. It's defeating.

I'm able return a gaze of an unattractive guy, or just for me normal guy. But when my eyes meet with the gaze of a guy I fancy, I tend to look away too and pretend I never looked at him. Although I push myself to leave my eyes of him as long as I can stand it before I look away. Because I want to somehow let him now, he cough my sight right ?! :D

She doesn't like to be looked at or feels embarrassed. I do this too when I see someone watching me. It feels so awkward and I try to avoid looking at them, even out of the corner of my eye.

Well she might have just gotten off the phone with someone she was angry with or she could b in a bad mood or people are just annoying her that day. I mean you shouldn't worry so much about that one girl...even if she did mean it towards u...so what...you have to move on and know you are worth better than some girl who gives you weird looks:)

Honestly, I do it all the time. I just get nervous, and I'm afraid if I show interest it will scare him off, you know? Like I'm hoping he'll just come talk to me anyway. I don't know maybe I should stop doing that..it just comes naturally. I don't think she meant anything of it, if she's anything like me.

I think it really depends on the situation.You have to pay attention to her facial expressions. It might not even mean anything. If the girl makes a repulsive looking face then she isn't interested. But she might not be paying attention. You shouldn't over think it because it probablly doesn't mean anything:)

I think she is not interested. Her face looked angry. I see her face expression for a 1/2 sec, because she looked at opposite direction.

She was looking straight forward, then she seeep her look at left, and IMMEDIATLY after loonking at me she looks at right.

I think guys interpret that as a she don't like me type of action because I unconsciously did that to a guy once and he seemed hurt. I didn't mean to come off like that I'm just shy

It can mean many things: She thinks your good looking, she is naturally a shy girl, so she is nervous, prolonged eye contact is not her thing, OR she is busy with something important. These are most or all of the possible reasons, I end up doing myself.

But, for me, I found out my head turning or looking down made a guy loose interest in me--Take a look at my question. I don't think he thought the reason I was doing it was because I was shy.

I don't think she was feeling you. But that's just my opinion. You should also evaluate how you were looking at her. Typically women walking on the street always get looks and yelled to by men so if she looked angry when she looked away, she probably thought you were just like every other guy.

Dude, I hate to say it but you're over reacting man. If you've never met this girl before, you won't be able to know if she likes you. If you have met her, you could tell if she keeps looking.
