Does "watching a movie" always mean that a guy wants more? Or how is it to be understood?

Look at it this way:

All guys want sex. A guy wouldn't be dating you if he didn't want to sleep with you (unless he's a theoretical physicist at Cal Tech named Sheldon), so that assumption should already be there.

Watching a movie is entertainment. Most guys are going to HOPE that you want to get close and cuddle a bit (at least), and IF you decide to go further, then, great. But even though "hoping" for sex, or at least sexual stuff, is normal, the guy is usually going to follow your lead. He may nudge you a bit and take some initiative, but he's also going to pay attention to your reactions and behaviors, and that will set the tone for the evening.

If you immediately crawl into his lap on the couch and start making out, he'll forget all about the movie. If you ask him to make popcorn and set the bowl between you on the couch, then you'll just end up watching some cinema and having some snacks.

Yes, you should assume that he wants sex (he always does, so this should always be your assumption), but you are still in control of what YOU want to do, and he'll respect your boundaries if you make them clear.

No, watching a movie to me means that a girl is coming over to watch a movie. Most likely she'll let us cuddle together, maybe kiss a lot as well. If she wants a sleep over as well, that's fine too. Sex doesn't not have to happen because she 'watched a movie' with me and that's how it is.

It depends on the guy, and the type of movie you're watching and it doesn't Always mean that the guy wants more .

It's not something I'd suggest if it's a girl you haven't been with too long in case she got the wrong idea, just found it odd that a girl suggested to "watch a movie" for once haha.

It depends on the guy, but as a general rule, when you meet at your place or his place, there is at least the expectation that something more COULD happen. If there are boundaries you want him to respect, those need to be communicated ahead of time.
