What does it mean when a guy walks you home?

To get to the point, a guy walked me home the other day. I had met him the day before (Though I'd seen him around school) we ended up talking at tutoring. He lives the opposite way I live. We were talking then he ended up walking me home, he was telling me about how he sees me at lunch and I always look so depressed and annoyed by everybody at my table. Today, I saw him after school again and ended up playing with his hair, stroking his goatee (no pun intended) and just messing around. The question is, is he just a nice guy or is he showing interest? Flirt or friendly?

Hes showing interest. Sometimes I simply don't understand the sheer obliviousness of women.

Heres a rule of thumb for you, if a guy is interested then chances are he will go out of his way to spend time with you. (With the exclusion of d***s playing 'the game')

I think he is showing interest, he noticed you at other days at lunch, and notices how you look which is depressed, maybe this was his way of first getting to know you. What kind of guy is he? He seems like a friendly guy, but if he likes you, he could get flirty
