Is it a bad idea to send a guy a picture of you?

And no it won't be a naked picture, I'll have clothes on lol. I just met him last night though (and we've been texting today) and my friend keeps telling me not to.

I mentioned he said it would be nice to have a picture of me, and she said "yeah, well it would be nice if there was no more war also" which had me dying, but seriously this is confusing me. It's just a picture, right?

The fact that you just met him last night makes me nervous.

I don't think twice about sending my boyfriend pictures of me with clothes on, but I've known him for six years. Sure, it'll have clothes on, so if it's a TASTEFUL picture then I don't see an issue. But if it's showing more than an inch of cleavage or taken from a bad angle that shows more than just your face/shoulder area, I'd advise against it.

Bit weird of him to ask but I'd say that he wants to show his buddies as he must think you're really hot. Do whatever you feel comfortable with.

Probably not at this early stage, no. I'd just say something like have you forgotten what I look like? In a joking sorta way. Meet up again if you want to and get to know him a bit better.

I think it's a bad idea. You hardly know him and you don't know what he's capable of doing. He might send the picture around or he might later on ask for nude pictures. Listen to your friends, that's why they're there.

You're right. Your friend's wrong. Sending him a non-dirty pic is no different than friending him on Facebook. He could download pics off Facebook if he wanted.

I would think it's sweet if I received a pic.

We're not friends on Facebook yet, I actually only know his first name. You don't think it's too fast since I just met him sat night? Everyone's saying different things.

It's not too fast. For some reason, sending people pics has a bad reputation. I'm sure your friends wouldn't say it's a bad idea to friend him on Facebook. But in some irrational way sending pics is viewed differently.
