How would you respond when someone tells you they like you?

You can hang out all you want, but how do you really know if a guy is interested?

I told a guy that I liked him today and he responded with "I'm really glad for that. lol"

That's not good is it? He never asks me about myself either.

Well, you didn't get flat out friend zoned with a "I only see you as a friend" (boy do I hate hearing that), that's something at least. However, the fact that he didn't say he liked you as well may be an indication that he isn't interested, or on the other hand, maybe he couldn't bring himself to say he liked you too due to shyness or something.

Yeah, he's been married so I'm pretty sure he'd know what to say. Would you keep hanging out with a girl who lived over an hour away if you weren't interested in her? I kind of wish he did friend zone me, so I'd know something.

If he lives over an hour away? That sounds like he's going out of his way to spend time with you, so unless you're super close friends, he must have some feelings for you.

I've driven there more than he's come here though. He did give me gas money the last time though. He asked me to hang out again tonight. He tells me stuff like he likes having me around, but that's not the same as saying he likes me. I personally feel like it's a waste if he doesn't like me since he's over an hour away. Do you think I should just flat out ask him?

I would if I was you. Life is too short to waste time waiting on him. Let him know how you feel and ask him straight out how he feels about you.
