I apologize in advance for the trickery of this title but sadly enough, people usually only read things on here with the catchiest of titles. And, I feel this take is one that should be read and not overlooked. Hence, why I went with that title. And, though this take isn't about the things we hate about the opposite gender. It is about all the list people make trying to get into the minds of men and women everywhere and informing us about this stuff. And, that is what this is really about, lists.
I see a lot of different types of lists on here from men and women, about many different type things. Though this is a website about giving an inside look into the opposite gender, I don't feel those inside looks are ever actually accurate but instead a direct view from a person who was hurt one too many times by that said gender. Which, leads to the inaccurance. And, also leads to irritating a whole bunch of people.
So, let's quickly go over some these lists. *note* these are just examples and not necessarily things on here anybody has written.
1. 12 things men hate about women!
That kind of take is written by a womans perspective and not a man. So, technically anything she writes could be said that it's what she finds annoying about women and not necessarily what men find annoying but I do imagine men find it annoying when women tell them what they hate about women, since I'm sure that varies from man to man.
2. 12 things women hate about men!
Now, this one would be written by a man and his perspective. Much like up above, I don't really think a man can truly know what a woman does or doesn't like about a guy. That also varies from woman to woman, so what you write is not how all or even most women feel. So, also like above, why write about something you can't really know?
3. Things ALL women lie about!
I saw something kind of like this on here, eariler this week and it was about quailties women lie about wanting. This was also written by a guy and honestly, you can't possibly know that ALL women lie about that stuff. I'm not a liar, so if I tell you something it is in fact the truth. If I say looks don't matter to me, I mean it and if you want hook me up to a lie detector test to see if it's the truth or not, be my guest. But, I promise it's the truth. So, to write something stating what women lie about it is stupid because you're NOT a woman so how are you going to know?
4. Things ALL men lie about!
This would be something a woman would write or find a picture stating things that men lie about and much like above, you're NOT a man so how could you possibly know what they would lie about? Also, for all the men that do lie about some important things. There a whole bunch of other men, that wouldn't lie. They won't be perfect because that doesn't exist in men or women but they won't lie or tell you something they don't mean. So, to say you know what all men lie about is wrong.
This last one I'll combine together.
5. What men want in a woman / what women want in a man!
These are more then a little irritating because honestly, much like all of these examples. You can't possibly know what all men and women want, it's simple just not possible. You know why? Because, everybody is different and everybody wants different things and finds different things to be important for a person to have or not to have. So, for woman to write a take about what men want and only basing on a small majority and educational guessing (since she's not a man), is wrong.

I know when people write these, they say they are not speaking for all of that gender but just some of it but in a way you are kind speaking for all of that gender and that is wrong. No man or woman is ever TRULY going to know what the other loves, hates, wants, doesn't want etc etc. You can guess and you can assume, heck you can even ask but you'll never actually know. So, you can write whatever you want. However, whether you write from what you think is the opposite genders point of view or your genders point of view. At least do a little rescreach and make it at least as accurate as you can, instead of just writing random things that aren't even true. Another words, just be mindful. That's all.
