5 Cute Things To Do For Your Boyfriend/Girlfriend

5 Cute things to do for your boyfriend/girlfriend

I thought I'd write this MyTake as I seem to be better at showing my emotions through actions rather than words. Like I might be with my boyfriend and be thinking about how cute and sweet he is or how much I care about him and want to look after him and how nice he is to me - that sort of thing yet I seem to have trouble actually saying it. I just get too shy too. I've called him stuff like "Darling" & "Lovely" in my head before yet was too scared to say it, I mean, what would he think?

Even now he's found this out and actually likes me putting it on fb and will even say it back, I just can't seem to say it in person. It's like the words are there but just won't come out. I am trying to be more open with my emotions and have found other ways of showing affection towards him. This is why I thought I'd share some of my ideas on this MyTake, for other people who want to show their affection toward their bf/gf in different ways. So without further stalling, I will start the list:

1.) Write them a love letter

Perhaps a bit clique but seems to work. Write about what it is you like about them (both personality and looks wise), how much you appreciate them and maybe throw in a little embarrassing confession (E.g, you save pictures of them and kiss them or hug your pillow at night pretending it's them). Make sure you are being honest though, don't say anything that isn't true just to make the letter sound better or you could end up on the wrong page. Just be honest. Avoid saying anything mean or argumentative in the letter as love letters are just meant to focus on positive things about them.

I have wrote my boyfriend love letters before and he seems to really like & appreciate them. I know I'd certainly love to have one from him too!

2.) Draw them a picture of the two of you together

Ideally hugging, kissing, holding hands or doing something of that nature. You could draw hearts around it too and write a little message like "To ______ thank you for being such an amazing bf/gf, love from ______ X" or "To ______ I love your hugs, love from ______ X". It doesn't matter if you're not very good at drawing, just give it a try and I'm sure they would appreciate it.

I recently drew my boyfriend a picture of the two of us together hugging with a heart and a message saying I loved him and he told me he loved it and when I went to his house the other day, he had it stuck to the inside of his cupboard :)

3.) Buy them a little something

Their favourite chocolate bar, a video game if they like gaming, a teddy bear, some takeaway - anything you think they might like even if it's cheap.

This shows you care and that you listen to them about their likes & interests.

4.) Make them something

Whether that means baking them some cakes, making them something out of clay or writing them a poem, just try and make something for them you think they'd like.

This shows you care and gives them something they can keep as a memory of your love (apart from the cakes maybe, they probably won't keep them as they'll end up eating them instead but it will still show you care).

5.) Tell them a secret

Could just be in a text if you are shy like me. Tell them a confession you have relating to them (like I suggested you do in the letter). Even if you are embarrassed, just admit to them that you get distracted doing work because you're always day dreaming about being with them, or that you once made a character in a game that looked just like them or that you annoy your friends by going on about them all the time or whatever embarrassing thing you do relating to them.

You may find stuff like that embarrassing but chances are, your boyfriend/girlfriend will find it cute and will appreciate you telling them.

Thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed this MyTake :)
