Let's Talk about Rudeness...

I want to talk about rudeness. We are only human that's true and most of us at some point have dished out some rudeness of our own and been on the receiving end of it as well.

This week alone I have had 3 people be rude to me and it's pretty much my limit because I feel that if one more person treats me that way I may just loose my crap.

I get we all have bad days whether that be at work, at home with our children or because maybe we are tired or got stuck in a crazy traffic jam but just because you have had a bad day doesn't mean you have earned the right to be rude and make those that might have had a good day feel like they arn't allowed to be happy.

Don't take your friends, partners, children and colleagues for granted just because you have a comfortable solid relationship with them and somehow think you can be rude to them and they will just accept that because it's not OK.

Friends and family are the ones you should be striving to treat the best in your life, they are the ones you should be the most careful around because you want to preserve and nurture those relationships.

I'm in no way saying that no one can have a bad day, it's life, we all have them and we are entitled to feel the badness of that day and not be in a happy mood if we so choose, we are entitled to those bad feelings, the point I'm making is that we should be self aware and try hard not to project those negative feelings onto innocent people around us.

If you have had a bad day just say so politely, there is no need for the politics of attitude. If you need to talk about your day then most people will be happy to lend an ear, give some advice and cheer you up if you approach them with a bit of love and respect. If your not up for company then go and be alone and de-stress. Most people will and do understand the need for others to have solitary time. Everyday is a new day just remember that.

Rudeness is kind of ingrained in our society. Look who we have in the White House right now! He got there by being RUDE (remember him lurking and hovering behind Hillary?). The TV is saturated with reality shows, and a large number of these people are obnoxious and R-U-D-E. Same thing with rappers. Every time I see a picture of a rapper, his face is filled with rudeness and hate. Eminem once said that anybody who buys any of his records is giving him a blowjob. That's what he thinks of his fans. Somehow, the message is conveyed that this is how life should be if you want to get anywhere in the world.

People are rude because:

1: They had a bad day and will find a victim to flood them with their anger to make themselves feel better'calmer while instead they could punch a pillow or something.

2: They were not parented right.

3: When a rude person who is having a bad day, sees someone happy, they will verbally attack them to ruin their day since his is ruined already or basically " If I'm not happy, why should others be? ".

And many more reasons of why someone is rude but those are the important ones.

Very good take - I am guilty of bottling stuff up and some poor sod being on the end of impolite behaviour totally undeserved - I give people a Free Pass for once off rude behaviour but if it is a pattern, I will think "How rude, what an unpleasant person"

Let's also talk about entitled bitchy attitudes. No one owes anyone anything, including a pleasant experience.

One will however win more friends with honey than vinegar.

by the way, venting on social media just makes the complainer seem just as bad as the thing they are complaining about.

Family is everything, and I agree that we should always treat them well, although this does not always happen.
