I agree that girls probably really want a nice guy. But there are too many external and psychological factors that can prevent a nice guy from connecting with a girl. Just being nice, won't make getting the girl easy.
Can a word or any word describe a good spouse. I seen a guy who was not always nice to others, kind of cruel, needy, possibly controlling and self centered. But I am sure his long time wife thinks that he is the nicest religious man in the world. Maybe, there isn't a word or list that can describe feelings for another.
Well it's taken 30 odd years to find someone who appreciates such person having crossed paths with the not so nice type guys. I was shocked just to see her face light up just at giving her an ice breaking gift when we first met.
Nice guys don't finish last once women reach around 30 and their looks fade and their left with babies from those "bad" boys who left them and they realize that only the nice guys have the money and careers to care for their kids.
Hahaha! It's a shame more of them don't kick that girl to the curb.

"Nice guys finish last." I believe this refers to sex, meaning a guy will bring his lover to climax before himself. At least that's what I always thought it meant.

I never understood why "nice guys finish last" was a things. When have you ever heard a girl go "I would never date a nice guy!"

Yeah, they do. I’d never want to be known as “nice”. Society in general takes advantage of these men. You can be a good guy with strong morale without being known as a nice guy.
Nice guys may be seen as friend material. Like all the women with gay guy friends. Many women want a "take charge" guy, but won't let on, and keep guys guessing. That's why bodice-ripper novels and 50 Shades of Grey are so popular.

I love this mytake. Some guys pretend to be Mr. Nice guy and its so stupid just be who you are and you'll get the girl you deserve.

Seems the whole nice guy thing is literally just BS to make excuses for dating shitty guys. Nothing more. Blunt honest opinion. Or else critics of it all wouldn't be so quickly and very bashed to death with full on paranoia. Likely paranoia that true intentions are found out.
Only problem I have is that under the "real nice guys," description you listed charming and gave some traits that show quite a bit of confidence, a couple things I don't have but I am genuinely a "real nice guy."
Good take otherwise though.

I wish this was true. Im still single and still get rejected over a jerk guy. this generation is hard to find a wise girl. were I live girls still go for jerks who do weed , hookah, and all type of bad stuff. maybe your right and I just have bad luck
See, everyone who parties, do weed, etc. is not always a jerk. Moreover, just being nice is never enough. A girl also seeks for emotional, physical connection. Yes, but some girls DO go for bad boys simply for the thrill and popularity.
